Caught this on INSP channel.

http://moments.org/thank-you-for-your-service/

Instead of Doritos, Coke, GoDaddy, and the others, there used to be some decent commercials out there.

IMHO, I haven't seen any since the Budweiser commercial after 9/11.  :'(

God Bless and thank ALL of our Military!!!!

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

"Couldn't you find a real job ?"  Vs  sincere Parades .

I do this every day of the week, 365....  The year is only 32 days old and I've thanked or shaken the hands of two or three dozen Veterans...

BTW...who really gives a f..k about the superbowl?

Thanks TW.

A smile... a handshake... and a simple 'Thank You' not only honors the service and sacrifice of courageous men and women but it might also save a life.  A new study (http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/02/02/us-usa-veterans-suicide-idUSBRE9101E320130202) reports that 22 veterans commit suicide every day - most of those over the age of 50.  While the cause and prevention of suicide are very complex issues, I have no doubt that many of these veterans would choose life over death if they felt loved, appreciated, and needed by those around them.  And before the Gunny throws a box of tissues at me, I think even a guy who can "eat concertina wire and piss napalm and ... put a round in a flea's ass at 200 meters" likes - needs - to be appreciated.

P.S.
What movie is that quote from?

What he said.

Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either.”  Chris Kyle

Another thing to remember as you're walking down the streets of the cities and towns in this country!

One in four homeless people are Veterans.....25%!

I would be leery of that stat unless you could verify it with another source.
The "Homeless veteran" meme was heavily promoted by the left during the 80's as another method to discredit Vn era veterans and was debunked in the book "Stolen Valor", the same as the myth of the "Jail bird veterans" and the "18 year old black draftees get shipped to Nam" myth
In fact, there was a higher percentage of volunteers in Vn than in WWII, the draftees were primarily sent to Germany or Korea.

Edited to clarify

I'm not saying I don't believe what Tim posted, just that, as I said, I'd be leery of it till I could find verification some where else.

Great find, TW.

Thanks.
