If you vote for Barack Hussein Obuma, this will be the ONE you picked to become President of the United States.  God help us if this destructive Clown, who will tear down America to a second rate nation, is elected President!

      Marxist Obuma's American Dream

To Barack Hussein Obama,

The New York Times carried a story on Saturday, October 4, 2008, that proved you had a significantly closer relationship with Bill Ayers than what you previously admitted.   While the issue of your relationship is of concern, the greater concern is that you lied to America about it.

The Chicago Sun reported on May 8, 2008, that FBI records showed that you had a significantly closer relationship with Tony Rezko than what you previously admitted.   In the interview, you said that you only saw Mr. Rezko a couple of times a year.   The FBI files showed that you saw him weekly.  While the issue of your relationship is of concern, the greater concern is that you lied to America about it.

Your speech in Philadelphia on March 18, 2008, about 'race' contradicted your statement to Anderson Cooper on March 14 when you said that you never heard Reverend Wright make his negative statements about white America .   While your attendance at Trinity Church for 20 years is of concern, the greater concern is that you lied to America on March 14.

In your 1st debate with John McCain, you said that you never said that you would meet with the leaders of Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, and North Korea without 'preparations' at lower levels ... Joe Biden repeated your words in his debate with Sarah Palin ... while the video tape from your debate last February clearly shows that you answered 'I would' to the question of meeting with those leaders within 12 months without 'any' preconditions.  While your judgement about meeting with enemies of the  USA without pre-conditions is of concern, the greater concern is that you lied to America in the debate with McCain.

On July 14, 2008, you said that you always knew that the surge would work while the video tapes of you from more than a year ago show that you stated that the surge would not work.   While your judgement about military strategy as a potential commander-in-chief is of concern, the greater concern is that you lied to America on July 14.

You now claim that your reason for voting against funding for the troops was because the bill did not include a time line for withdrawal, while the video tapes of you from more than a year ago show that you voted against additional funding because you wanted our troops to be removed immediately ... not in 16 months after the 2008 election as you now claim.  While your judgement about removing our troops unilaterally in 2007 is of concern, the greater concern is that you lied to America about your previous position.

You claim to have a record of working with Republicans while the record shows that the only bill that you sponsored with a Republican was with Chuck Lugar .. and it failed.  The record shows that you vote 97% in concert with the Democrat party and that you have the most liberal voting record in the Senate.  You joined Republicans only 13% of the time in your votes and those 13% were only after agreement from the Democrat party.  While it is of concern that you fail to include conservatives in your actions and that you are such a liberal, the greater concern is that you distorted the truth

In the primary debates of last February, 2008, you claimed to have talked with a 'Captain' of a platoon in Afghanistan 'the other day' when in fact you had a discussion in 2003 with a Lieutenant who had just been deployed to Afghanistan.  You lied in that debate.

In your debates last spring, you claimed to have been a 'professor of Constitutional law' when in fact you have never been a professor of Constitutional law.  In this last debate, you were careful to say that you 'taught a law class' and never mentioned being a 'professor of Constitutional law.'  You lied last spring.

You and Joe Biden both claimed that John McCain voted against additional funding for our troops when the actual records show the opposite. You distorted the truth.

You and Joe Biden claim that John McCain voted against funding for alternate energy sources 20 times when the record shows that John McCain specifically voted against funding for bio fuels, especially corn ... and he was right ...  corn is too expensive at producing ethanol,  and using corn to make ethanol increased the price of corn from $2 a bushel to $6 a bushel for food.   You distorted the truth.

You and Joe Biden claim that John McCain voted like both of you for a tax increase on those making as little as $42,000 per year while the voting record clearly shows that John McCain did not vote as you and Joe Biden.   You lied to America .

You and Joe Biden claim that John McCain voted with George W. Bush 90% of the time when you know that Democrats also vote 90% of the time with the President (including Joe Biden) because the vast majority of the votes are procedural.  You are one of the few who has not voted 90% of the time with the president because you have been missing from the Senate since the day you got elected.   While your absence from your job in the Senate is of concern, the greater concern is that you spin the facts.

You did not take an active role in the rescue plan.  You claimed that the Senate did not need you while the real reason that you abstained was because of your close relationships with the executives of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Countrywide, and Acorn ... who all helped cause the financial problems of today .. and they all made major contributions to your campaign.   While your relationship with these executives and your protection of them for your brief 3 years in the Senate (along with Barney Frank, Chuck Schumer, Maxine Waters, and Chris Dodd) is of concern, the greater concern is that you are being deceitful.

You forgot to mention that you personally represented Tony Rezko and Acorn.  Tony Rezko, an Arab and close friend to you, was convicted of fraud in Chicago real estate transactions that bilked millions of tax dollars from the Illinois government for renovation projects that you sponsored as a state senator ... and Acorn has been convicted of voter fraud, real estate sub prime loan intimidation, and illegal campaign contributions.  Tony Rezko has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to your political campaigns.  You personally used your political positions to steer money to both Tony Rezko and Acorn and you used Acorn to register thousands of phony voters for Democrats and you.  While your relationships with Rezko and Acorn are of concern, the greater concern is that you omitted important facts about your relationships with them to America .

During your campaign, you said: 'typical white person.'  'They cling to their guns and religion.'  'They will say that I am black.'  You played the race card.  You tried to label any criticism about you as racist.  You divide America .

You claim that you will reduce taxes for 95% of America , but you forgot to tell America that those reductions are after you remove the Bush tax reductions.   You have requested close to $1 billion in earmarks and several million for Acorn.   Your social programs will cost America $1 trillion per year and you claim that a reduction in military spending ($100 billion for Iraq ) can pay for it.   While your economic plan of adding 30% to the size of our federal government is of concern, the greater concern is that you are deceiving America .

The drain to America 's economy by foreign supplied oil is $700 billion per year (5% of GDP) while the war in  Iraq is $100 billion (less than 1% of GDP).  You voted against any increases to oil exploration for the last 3 years and any expansion of nuclear facilities.  Yet today, you say that you have always been for more oil and more nuclear.  You are lying to America .

Mr. Obama, you claimed that you 'changed' your mind about public financing for your campaign because of the money spent by Republican PACs in 2004.   The truth is that the Democrat PACs in 2004, 2006, and 2008  spent twice as much as the Republican PACs (especially George Soros and MoveOn.org).   You are lying to America .

Mr. Obama, you have done nothing to stop the actions of the teachers union and college professors in the USA   They eliminated religion from our history.  They teach pro gay agendas and discuss sex with students as young as first grade.  They bring their personal politics into the classrooms.  They disparage conservatives.  They brainwash our children.  They are in it for themselves ..... not America .    Are you reluctant to condemn their actions because teachers/professors and the NEA contribute 25% of all money donated to Democrats and none to Republicans?  You are deceiving America .

Oh, Mr. Obama, Teddy Roosevelt said about a hundred years ago that we Americans should first look at the character of our leaders before anything else.
Your character looks horrible.  While you make good speeches, motivating speeches, your character does not match your rhetoric.  You talk the talk, but do not walk the walk.

1.  You lied to America .  You lied many times.  You distorted facts.  You parsed your answers like a lawyer.

2. You distorted the record of John McCain in your words and in your advertisements.

3.  You had associations with some very bad people for your personal political gains and then lied about those associations.

4.  You divide America about race and about class.

Now let me compare your record of lies, distortions, race baiting, and associations to John McCain:   War hero.  Annapolis graduate with 'Country first.'   Operational leadership experience like all 43 previously elected presidents of the USA as a Navy officer for 22 years.  26 years in the Senate.  Straight talk.  Maverick.  54% of the time participated on bills with Democrats.  Never asked for an earmark.  The only blemish on his record is his part in the Keating 5 debacle about 25 years ago.

Mr. Obama, at Harvard Law School , you learned that the end does not justify the means.  You learned that perjury, false witness, dishonesty, distortion of truth are never tolerated.  Yet, your dishonesty is overwhelming.  Your dishonesty is tremendously greater than the dishonesty that caused the impeachment and disbarment of Bill Clinton.  Your dishonesty is tremendously greater than the dishonesty of Scooter Libby. You should be ashamed.

Mr. Obama, it is time for us Americans to put aside our differences on political issues and vote against you because of your dishonest character.   It is time for all of us Americans to put aside our political issues and vote for America first. It is time for America to vote for honesty.

Any people who vote for you after understanding that you are dishonest should be ashamed of themselves for making their personal political issues more important than character.  Would these same people vote for the anti-Christ if the anti-Christ promised them riches?   Would they make a golden calf while Moses was up the mountain?   Would they hire someone for a job if that someone lied in an interview?  Of course not.  So why do some of these people justify their votes for you even though they know you are dishonest?  Why do they excuse your dishonesty?   Because some of these people are frightened about the future, the economy, and their financial security .... and you are preying on their fears with empty promises  ... and because some (especially our young people) are consumed by your wonderful style and promises for 'change' like the Germans who voted for Adolf Hitler in 1932  The greed/envy by Germans in 1932 kept them from recognizing Hitler for who he was.   They loved his style.  Greed and envy are keeping many Americans from recognizing you ... your style has camouflaged your dishonesty ... but many of us see you for who you really are   ... and we will not stop exposing who you are every day,  forever if it is necessary.

Mr. Obama, you are dishonest.  Anyone who votes for you is enabling dishonesty.

Mr.  Obama , America cannot trust that you will put America first in your decisions about the future.

Mr. Obama, you are not the 'change' that America deserves.  We cannot trust you.

Mr. Obama, You are not ready and not fit to be commander-in-chief.

Mr. Obama, John McCain does not have as much money as your campaign to refute all of your false statements.  And for whatever reasons, the mainstream media will not give adequate coverage or research about your lies, distortions, word parsing, bad associations, race baiting, lack of operational leadership experience, and generally dishonest character.  The media is diverting our attention from your relationships and ignoring the fact that you lied about those relationships.   The fact that you lied is much more important than the relationships themselves .... just like with Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon ... Monica Lewinski and Watergate were not nearly as bad as the fact that those men lied about the events ...  false witness ... perjury ..  your relationships and bad judgments are bad on their own .... but your lies are even worse.

Therefore, by copy of this memo, all who read this memo are asked to send it to everyone else in America before it is too late.  We need to do the job that the media will not do.

We need to expose your dishonesty so that every person in America understands who you really are before election day.

Mr. Obama, in a democracy, we get what we deserve.  And God help America if we deserve you.

I don’t know how many of you are old enough to remember “To Tell the Truth,” a TV game show on which three contestants tried to convince a panel that each of them was the one telling the truth about himself when in fact two of them were lying.  Lately, the democrats have been reminding me a lot of those two contestants.  Instead of competing for small cash prizes, though, these hack politicians are vying for votes.

For instance, Barney Frank, who has always looked and talked like a cartoon character, (my pick is Elmer Fudd), has begun behaving like one.  He keeps insisting that he had nothing to do with the sub-prime debacle.  He bases this outlandish claim on the fact that the democrats were in the minority on the House Finance Committee until January 31, 2007, when he became the chairman.  Even if we choose to overlook the obvious fact that he did nothing to avert the disaster during the year-and-a-half he and his liberal colleagues held the reins, the truth is that the democrats brought on the financial catastrophe by forcing the major lenders to do business with black and Hispanic deadbeats, and by intimidating the gutless Republicans on the Committee with threats of outing them as racists if they didn’t play ball.

But when it comes to lying, even ol' Barney Frank, formerly at the epicenter of a homosexual prostitute ring in Washington, can’t compare with Joe Biden.  But, then, neither could Pinocchio or Baron von Munchhausen.  When you realize that the vice-presidential debate took only 90 minutes, and that Gwen Ifill and Sarah Palin used up roughly 50 minutes with their questions and answers,  Sen., Biden had a mere 40 minutes in which to cram in over a dozen lies.  It’s one of those mind-boggling records, like Joe DiMaggio’s 56-game hitting streak, that may never be broken.

For openers, Biden is NOT in favor of clean coal as an alternate fuel.  Barack Hussein Obuma stated last night in his goofy informical that he IS in favor of clean coal as an alternate fuel.  But Biden has voted against its use every chance he’s had during his 36 years in the Senate.  Those two Clowns just cannot seem to get it together.

And while I don’t know in what cave Biden has been hiding, he must be the only person in America who didn’t hear Barack Hussein Obuma state that, without any preconditions, he would sit down with Mahmud Ahmadinejad.  But that was only after he informed us that Iran was a 'tiny' country and in no way a dangerous one.  Furthermore, instead of presuming to inform Gov. Palin that Ahmadinejad is not really Iran’s head honcho because it’s a theocracy, he should have mentioned it to his running mate, inasmuch as Obuma never mentioned sitting down with the mullahs.

When Biden said that McCain, like Obuma, voted against funding the troops, he lied, knowing full well that McCain only refused to vote for the funding bill so long as it was tied to a 'timeline for withdrawal.'  Leave it to the democrats to tell the Islamic terrorists to hang tough because, come hell or high water, we’ll be gone on a certain date.

They may not know how to wage war, but they sure know how to wage defeat.

Biden also lied when he said that McCain would raise taxes on people’s health insurance, and when he announced that Gen. David McKiernan said that principles of the surge could not be employed in Afghanistan, and again when he insisted that we spend more money in three weeks fighting in Iraq than we’ve spent altogether in Afghanistan.

Finally, Biden lied when he claimed that McCain weakened the regulations on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. But perhaps that wasn’t exactly a lie.  Maybe he just confused John McCain with Barney Frank or Maxine Waters because they look so much alike.

It’s not easy determining which of the numerous lies Biden rattled off in his allotted time was the most blatant, but my vote would probably go to his claim that he didn’t vote to authorize the war in Iraq.  If I remember correctly, his explanation was that he was only authorizing President Bush to continue seeking a diplomatic solution, although it would be the first time in history that a president has ever required a vote in order to conduct diplomacy.  I swear I could actually see Biden’s nose growing after that one.

My biggest laugh of the debate came when Biden, who lives in a very large house in a very pricey part of Delaware, suddenly tried to pass himself off as a regular guy talking about the middle-class folks in his neighborhood and his homies down at the local Home Depot. The truth is, a family of five could eat for a year on what this man has spent on hair plugs and having his teeth painted.

So far as I can tell, the only difference between the democrats and Burger King is that Biden and friends don’t offer Cokes and fries with their whoppers.

Obuma: A Man Who Manages to make Hillary Clinton Look Good
I get a big kick out of democrats insisting that the Republicans should concentrate on the issues instead of focusing on barack Hussein obuma’s own words and affiliations.  They call it negative campaigning.  It reminds me of the book "Truman," when in 1948, the crowds would exhort Harry Truman to give the Republicans hell: “I don’t give them hell,” he replied, “I just tell the truth and the Republicans think it’s hell.”

According to the democrats, nobody is supposed to mention barack Hussein obama’s hostility to his own white relatives; his black hate-mongering religious mentor; his political alliance with unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers; his work with Saul Alinsky’s cadre; his financial aid to 'ACORN'; his ties to Chicago fixer Tony Rezko; and his affiliation with the Annenberg Challenge, which, under the cover of promoting education in Chicago, promoted left-wing activism.

When you get down to obuma’s actual record, his obvious dedication to black separatism and to Karl Marx’s dream of redistributing wealth, you begin to understand why some of us regard him as the worst sort of demagogue, and why our collective skin crawled when John McCain called him a gentleman, a good family man, and assured us that we’d have nothing to fear from an obuma presidency.  Ol' John almost lost me on that one.  It had me wondering whom McCain was planning to vote for on November 4th.  If a cynical racist like barack Hussein obuma could receive such high marks, virtually an endorsement, from his opponent, I figured David Duke must be kicking himself that he never thought to run as a democrat.

Although the economy is front and center at this moment, what happens next January if Iran drops the bomb on Tel Aviv or if the Islamics bring down the Empire State Building or the Sears Tower or Golden Gate Bridge?  Believe me, nobody’s going to be talking about Ben Bernanke, and nobody in his right mind is going to want the man who is eager to sit down and chat with Mahmud Ahmadinejad or who sees a moral equivalency between Israel and her Islamic enemies seated in the Oval Office.

obuma is a man who sees taxes as a neat way to rob Peter to pay Paul, who wants us to contribute 50 billion dollars-a-year to the U.N. to fight world poverty on top of the many billions we already give it, and who, instead of favoring English as our official language, insists we should all learn to speak Spanish, a language that neither he nor mrs. obuma can speak.

The problem is that the only thing standing between obuma, the worst possible presidential candidate, a man who manages to make Hillary Clinton look good, and the White House is John McCain, the worlds worst campaigner.  There are high school kids all over America who are running better races for sophomore class president.  I'm beginning to wonder if he's going to carry Arizona, his home state.

I mean, when obuma keeps parroting the line about McCain’s having voted 90% of the time with George Bush, how hard should it be for McCain to point out that obuma voted even more often than that, 96% with the likes of nancy pelosi, harry reid, christopher dodo, john kerry and barney 'Elmer the Fudd' frank -- and, what’s more, got huge kickbacks from his grateful cronies at Fannie Mae?   In 1948, Harry Truman ran against Congress even harder than he ran against Tom Dewey, and Congress 60 years ago was a lot more popular than the current version.

It was one thing for barack Hussein obuma, a man born to sell swampland to suckers, to pretend that ACORN was just a charitable organization doing good works when his campaign gave them $800,000.... $800,00 big ones, people... but now that we know that ACORN is nothing but a gang of punks and thugs whose sole purpose is to steal the election on his behalf, obuma has, in the immortal words of Desi Arnaz, a lot of ‘splaining to do.'  And since we know the media hacks won’t ask him, it’s up to John McCain to hold his feet to the fire.  Good luck on that.

Hell, If I were McCain, I’d start out by asking obuma if he thinks ACORN or that other famous community organization, the 'Mafia,' is the more dangerous group.  I, personally, have more respect for the Mafia.  After all, they favor capitalism over socialism, they genuinely like America, they don’t try to destroy the election process and, what’s more, they dress a lot better, favoring camelhair coats over those corny red sweatshirts.

Heaven knows, I’ve done all I can.  Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber have done all they can do.  Now it’s up to John McCain to prove that he hasn’t placed a big bet on the other guy.  Unlike Marlon Brando's Terry Malloy in “On the Waterfront,” he can’t go through life moaning about his fate, claiming he could have been a contender.  He is a contender.  The question is whether he has what it takes to knock out this lightweight in the final round and take home the title.

The Right Will Rise Again

On the eve of the presidential election, I have a few last thoughts I’d like to share.  I will try and not make this too long-winded .

First off, I keep hearing people say they don’t know Barack Hussein Obuma, America's number #1 con man.  Oddly enough, I don’t think I’ve ever known a presidential candidate nearly so well.  I may not have seen his birth certificate or his medical records, but I’ve certainly heard his words, his wife’s words and his pastor’s words, and I feel they’ve told me all I need to know about this demagogue.

I know that he believes in the Marxist principle of sharing the wealth, and I know that doesn’t refer to his own wealth, but to everybody else’s.  I know that he shares Mrs. Obama’s lack of pride in America, and that, in his gut, he believes America is a racist nation.

I know he shares Rev. Wright’s hatred of white people.  Because he depends on their votes, he keeps that belief under wraps, but it certainly comes through loud and clear in his books.

I know that the people he surrounds himself with, people like Wright, Father Pfleger, Louis Farrakhan, Tony Rezko and Bill Ayres, are vile.  And the ones whom he is forced by circumstance to be allied with, people like Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Murtha and Elmer Fudd, are not much better.

Because even his disciples realized that Sen. Obuma can barely identify such places as Iraq, Syria, Israel and Afghanistan, on the map, he selected an old political hack like Pinocchio Joe Biden as his running mate.  Pinocchio Joe  was supposed to supply the foreign affairs expertise Obama lacked.  The man has plenty of experience, but the problem is that he has always been wrong.  Just one major example was his vote against Desert Storm.  He would have gladly stood by while Saddam Hussein took over the oil fields of Kuwait.  He never has bothered to explain his reasoning, but when it only takes about 200,000 votes to be a senator from Delaware, I guess all it takes to be elected are hair plugs and painted teeth.

It occurs to me that politicians continue, as a matter of P.R., to refer themselves as public servants.  They are the only servants in the history of mankind to not only make more money than their masters, but are the ones who insist on giving all the orders.

Because we saw this election as the most important in our lifetime, I cast my ballot several weeks ago.  I wanted to be certain that my vote would count even if I died in the meantime.  It’s nothing new.  Hell, dead Democrats have been casting votes for years and, thanks to ACORN and complicit state governments, they still are.  ACORN even registers cartoon characters.  In one case,( Elmer Fudd from Massachusetts) there’s even an example of a cartoon character who managed to get elected to Congress.

It astounds me that Democrats continue to paint Republicans as plutocrats when kazillionaires like Kennedy, Boxer, Feinstein, Schumer, Kerry, Clinton and even a guy named Rockefeller, sit in the Senate, and people like George Soros, Barbra Streisand, George Clooney, Warren Buffet and Bill Gates, fill their coffers.  I used to wonder why Soros, a bottom-feeder who made his fortune in the sleazy business of currency trading, would align himself with the far left wing of the Democratic party.  Then, one day, it occurred to me that John Howard Lawson, who used to run the Communist Party in Hollywood, as a man who was born to run a gulag.  I now believe that Soros sees himself as a honcho in a new Soviet United States, a man in charge of the men who would run the gulags.

I just read that former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger said that Sarah Palin is not only unqualified to become president on short notice, but that even after some time in office would make, at best, an adequate commander in chief.  What a shame he wasn’t half as prescient when he was secretary of state.  I wonder what evaluation he would give to President George H.W. Bush, the man under whom he served, the man who, by the way, was the only president since 1980 not to be re-elected to a second term.

Finally, it occurs to me that former Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayers didn’t really stop planting bombs in the 1960s, after all.  As a matter of fact, the biggest bomb he set off was the O-bomb in the mid-90s, when he hosted the kick-off to Barack Hussein Obuma’s political campaign.

Some Past Annoyances

Periodically, I find random thoughts running amok in my head, and the only way I have ever found to get any peace is to jot them down so that they can go run amok in someone else’s head.

For instance, how is that individuals and corporations are constantly forking over big bucks to motivational speakers?  I mean, am I the only person in America who always thought having to pay off a mortgage was as much motivation as I could handle?

Next, I’d like to know at what point did any hint of true religious tolerance become a threat to the fabric of our society?  All the fuss that some folks make over Christmas wreaths and little bitty crosses on city seals strikes me as both outrageous and very silly.  It’s embarrassing, really.  Who are these lunkheads who are so eager to make a court case out of something that’s none of their business?  I always find myself wondering how empty their lives must be to have the time to waste on such matters.  What’s next?  No more December airings of “Christmas Carol” on TV?

It’s odd that these same screwballs don’t seem to have a problem with Halloween, a pagan ritual which has become, I’m told, the second most celebrated holiday in America.  Apparently, it’s only Christianity and Judaism that sets them off.  Sacrifice a goat, puff some peyote or paint pentagrams on your floor, and it’s hunky dory with this crowd.

I hate to give these narrow-minded, joyless, bigots any ideas, but, frankly, I’m surprised that, considering their antipathy to “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance and “In God We Trust” on our currency, they haven’t yet taken up arms against Sunday.  Why, after all, should Sunday be any more special than Thursday?  Why should Sunday be a day of rest, while Monday is stuck being a day of toil?  Clearly, the only reason that Sunday is different from Wednesday is because God said so in the Bible!  I mean, how did the busybodies in the ACLU let that one slip past them?

Another thing that annoyed me no end a few years back was France’s Jacques Chirac. You remember him -- good friend of John Kerry, no doubt one of those anonymous foreign leaders who wanted to see him elected and moral arbiter for America’s lefties.  What you might not know is that this is the same Jacques Chirac who back in the 1970s brokered the deal that gave Saddam Hussein his nuclear reactor, along with a plentiful supply of high grade plutonium.  It’s true that France initially balked at handing over the plutonium, but when Hussein threatened to cut off France’s supply of cheap oil, Chirac and France folded like a bad soufflé.  This was the reactor that Israel destroyed, much to France’s annoyance, in 1981.  See video of Israeli jets destroying the reactor:

While we’re on the subject of Iraq, remember their Olympic athletes?  In Athens, some of them actually said that if they weren’t so busy competing for medals, they’d be back home with their friends and relatives trying to kill the Americans.  Well, considering how they fared in Greece, Saddam's "off with their heads" son Uday reminded them how also-rans were usually greeted when they failed to bring home the gold.

On a personal note, I’d like to mention a recent experience.  I was invited to attend a party celebrating an old friend’s many years in Congress.  He’s a democrat, but nobody’s perfect.

Anyway, the day of the party, it was mentioned that my old chum, along with several of his like-minded colleagues, was planning to conduct an investigation of FoxNews because of its alleged bias in reporting the news.  So, when I arrived, I made a point of taking my friend aside and asking him to explain himself.  The constitutional guarantee of a free press aside, I told him that I watched Fox pretty often, and I knew that Bill O’Reilly not only invited people of all political persuasions aboard, but invariably let them have the last word.  In the hour following O’Reilly’s show, we have Hannity and Colmes.  Sean Hannity is as conservative as they come, but his co-host is equally far to the left.  And their show, too, is as likely to have a guest list that includes Howard Dean and Al Sharpton as Alexander Haig and Newt Gingrich.

What could be fairer than that?  I don’t see Bill Maher or Al Franken welcoming the opposition to debate the issues.  The liberals are only comfortable when they’re bleating to the choir.

So, where, I asked my old chum, is the bias?  What’s the beef?

He replied, “Well, those are opinion shows.  It’s Fox’s news coverage that stinks.”

I asked the congressman for a for instance.

“For instance,” he replied, “they’re always saying that the Republicans are great and the democrats are terrible.”

“Well,” I said, mulling it over, “actually that sounds like pretty objective reporting to me.”

My friend chuckled, but I could tell he didn’t have his heart in it.

“Okay,” I said, ever ready to compromise in good faith, “if you feel you have to investigate FoxNews for slanting their news coverage, go for it.  But when you’ve finished up with them, I trust you’ll then turn your attention to CNN, MSNBC, NPR, all three major networks, the New York Times, the L.A. Times and the Washington Post.  Or is it only the exception to the rule that bears looking into?”

At which point, one of us went off to receive congratulations on passing laws and helping to run the country, and one of us went off in desperate need of a drink.

It’s been a while now since the election took place, but it’s still not easy for me to come to grips with it.  Strangely enough, I slept okay the night I learned that Barack Obama had defeated John McCain.  It was only when I awoke and realized that Sen. Obama would soon be President Obama that the nightmare began.  I truly felt overcome with grief, the kind you feel when a loved one dies.  In this case, the loved one was America.

I have been listening to conservative commentators on radio trying to put a good face on it.  At times, they’ve sounded like they’re angling for the same White House dinner invitations they got from George Bush.  But perhaps they’re just hoping if they do enough kissing up, they can somehow dissuade the Democrats from passing the misnamed Fairness Doctrine.  I think they might as well expect that Al Gore and Robert Kennedy, Jr., will acknowledge that global warming has been a gargantuan hoax.

Liberals, after all, never admit their mistakes, never take responsibility for, say, destroying public education or taking an axe to the black family structure.  But, then, liberals never take responsibility for anything.  If they did, they’d be conservatives.

I know that a lot of Republicans are busy playing the blame game.  Some, myself included, are pointing fingers at John McCain for running the lamest presidential campaign in memory.  Others, not I, are pointing at Sarah Palin, while a few are singling out Mike Huckabee, suggesting that if he had dropped out when he should have, Mitt Romney would have won the primaries, thus preventing McCain from getting to do his dead-on impression of Michael Dukakis.

Some people simply blame the economy for Obama’s victory.  They may be right, but I’d prefer not to believe that a sizable number of Americans think that electing a Socialist is a really clever way to solve a financial crisis.

Many of my friends and colleagues are already looking to 2012, vowing to learn from the mistakes of this campaign.  Perhaps in four years, I’ll find a reason to share their optimism, but, frankly, I doubt it.  When I look at the election numbers, I see no reason to believe that things will improve by then.  After all, in spite of hearing how brilliant, how inspiring, how charismatic -- and how I hate hearing that word applied to a politician! -- Obama is, he’s the same guy whose friends, wife and religious mentor, combined with his nearly blank resume, should have kept him in the Illinois state legislature with all the other Chicago-based grifters.

The numbers, I’m afraid, tell the tale.  When it came to young voters, 69% went for Obama; Jews, 78%; blacks, 96%; Catholics, 54%; Hispanics, 67%; females, 56%; 90% of Muslims.  When you factor in birth rates, I’m not sure that in 2012, Republicans will get more votes than Libertarians.

Looking back, I think the left-wing cancer took root in the 1960s and the funeral took place on November 4th 2008.  That’s why I’m having a really hard time putting up with people who are so darn jubilant about Obama’s victory.  To me, it’s as if they’re dancing on America’s grave.

I know that a lot of people will regard me as a racist for being so depressed over the election result.  I am probably the least racist person in America.  As I’ve always said, people who hate others because of their race, religion or national origin, are just plain lazy. After all, once you get to really know people, there are always better reasons than that for despising them.

Besides, it does no good to deny being a racist.  Once you have to deny it, you’ve already been labeled.  But I have to ask, if Hillary Clinton had been elected president and I had been upset about it, would I be branded a misogynist?  The fact is, I would have been less upset if she had been elected.  But that’s only because I only object to her politics and her voice.  Her circle does not include the likes of Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko, Father Pfleger, Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Louis Farrakhan and Rashid Khalidi.  Aside from Hillary Clinton’s colleagues in the Senate, her only questionable associate is Bill.

Now that American conservatives have become an endangered species, I’m wondering if Obama and his gang of compassionate liberals will give us the same consideration they give polar bears and snail darters.

One of my friends wondered how it could be that I wasn’t thrilled to see millions of black people, including Jesse Jackson and all of Kenya, in rapture over Obama’s victory.  I told him it’s one thing for Obama to garner 96% of the black vote when he’s running against a Republican such as John McCain, but quite another when he got 91% of the vote in the primaries when he was running against a liberal such as Sen. Clinton.  That, to me, reeks of racism, and I see no reason to celebrate it.

I went on to say that it often seems to me that it’s only conservatives who ever took to heart Martin Luther King’s fervent wish that we all learn to judge our fellow men by their character and not by the color of their skin.

I concluded by telling him that he had every reason to be ecstatic that a man who shared his politics was elected, but that Obama’s color shouldn’t enter into it, and that if I and many like me were disgruntled about the election, it had nothing to do with Obama’s pigmentation, everything to do with his character and his leftist agenda.  We elected a president, after all, the leader of the free world, not a prom king.

If there is one bright spot in all this, it’s that I won’t have to spend the next four years listening to John McCain begin every sentence with “My friends.”  The sad truth is, I pick my friends far more wisely than we pick our candidates or, for that matter, our presidents.

Whenever I refer to liberals as pinheads, chowderheads, morons and flakes, I can always count on angry responses.  Invariably, they will accuse me of stooping to insult them, instead of dealing with specific issues.

The fact is, I am always dealing with issues, be it the left’s adoration of the U.N.; their cockeyed belief in man-made global warming; their constant attacks on the first two amendments; their intolerance of Christian traditions and symbols, which, by the way, relies entirely on an intentional misreading of the Constitution, a document which does not and never has contained the words “separation of church and state” (generally traced to the letter written by Thomas Jefferson in 1802 to the Danbury Baptists); their contempt for the U.S. military; the alleged supremacy of Islamic and illegal alien, rights; their opposition to capital punishment; their support of judges who legislate from the bench; and their affinity for professors and journalists who feel their duty is to indoctrinate rather than educate or report.

It’s only in the context of taking liberals to task that I ever make my ad hominem attacks. And please believe me, when I call them pinheads, lamebrains and ignoramuses, I honestly believe I am being kind and letting them off far easier than they deserve.  Would they really prefer traitors, Quislings and Communists?  If so, I’d be only too happy to oblige.

The truth is, it’s left-wingers who make a practice of evading the issues.  For instance, I have yet to have anyone on the left enumerate the rights he lost because of the Patriot Act.  I have yet to have any of them explain to me how it is that we invaded Iraq for oil but failed to confiscate even a single drop.  Also, I have never had a liberal name all those countries that hate America because of George Bush.  Even when I offer to help them get started by suggesting Russia, China, Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Yemen, North Korea and Cuba, they refuse to engage me.

I have also never had a leftist explain his love affair with socialism and communism, forms of tyranny which have led to unparalleled human misery wherever they have been introduced.  But, then, what sort of freedom lovers side with the PLO, Hamas and Hezbollah, against Israel and make cultural icons of Fidel Castro,Che Guevara and that fat clown, Cesar Chavez?

Silence is the same response I get when I have asked liberals, who allegedly favor honest elections, why they have never spoken out against ACORN, and why, although they pay lip service to free speech, people like David Horowitz and Ann Coulter require bodyguards when they appear on college campuses.  And why is it that liberals, who already control newspapers, magazines and TV, are pushing for the “Fairness Doctrine" in a blatant, fascistic, attempt to keep conservative voices off the radio?

What sort of people are they who will defend the rights of pornographers and pedophiles to promote themselves in the public marketplace, but feel entitled to banish the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Michael Medved, Dennis Prager, High Hewitt, Dennis Miller, Sean Hannity, Michael Reagan, Laura Ingraham, Larry Elder and Bill O’Reilly, from the marketplace of ideas?

Liberals are in favor of open borders because they feel sorry for those people sneaking across.  It doesn’t occur to liberals that American citizens suffer from the influx of twenty million impoverished illiterates. They are not concerned with the drain on schools, hospitals, jobs and prisons, because what’s important for liberals is that they feel good about themselves.  It’s a unique type of selfishness because it’s disguised as an altruistic concern for others.  It’s the same reason they oppose capital punishment.  They don’t care about the victims or their loved ones.  Any schmuck, after all, can sympathize with innocent people.  But it takes a very special kind of individual to hold a candlelight vigil for a monster who’s raped and murdered a child.  A very special kind, indeed.

If I had to describe liberals in a single word it would probably be “CLOWN” (for want of a better word).   In most cases, I wouldn’t regard that word as a pejorative.  As it relates to liberals, it simply means that feelings trump everything else.  So it is that liberals love the idea of the U.N., excited by the notion of a lot of nations sitting down and talking out their problems, as if to a marriage counselor. Unfortunately, when dealing with evil nations with evil intentions, the U.N. is nothing better than a bad joke.  Partly that’s because it is inept and partly because it’s as weak as its weakest link and, for good measure, is as corrupt as Chicago politics.

Quite recently, it struck me that it’s not that the MainStream Media has done everything in its considerable power to spin, deny or conceal, all the unpleasant truths about ACORN, Rev. Wright, Tony Rezko, Bill Ayers and his wife, the Annenberg Challenge and the where-abouts of Obama's real birth certificate, that upsets me the most. The thing that truly depresses me is that millions of my fellow Americans know the truth, but simply don’t seem to care.

They also don’t seem too concerned that in a 2001 radio interview, Obama declared that his problem with the Warren Court was that although it ruled in favor of Civil Rights, it was not sufficiently radical when it came to redistribution of wealth.
(Listen to the interview:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iivL4c_3pck)  Apparently, Obama thinks the Founding Fathers should have included that in the Bill of Rights.

Obama can deny it all he likes, but anyone who subscribes to the belief that we should adopt a fiscal policy based on “From everyone according to his abilities to everyone according to his needs” is a disciple not of Warren Buffet, but of Karl Marx.  Still, as some cynic once observed, when you rob Peter to pay Paul, don’t expect Paul to raise any objections.  So, even though Obama claims he will cut income taxes for 95% of us, even though he knows full well that over 30% of us don’t even pay a single penny in income taxes, millions of Pauls are ready and eager to vote for this con man.

Frankly, I find it amazing and pathetic that so many Americans are anxious to finish the job begun by FDR to turn us into a socialist state.  Is it simply because they long for America to go the way of China, the Soviet Union, Venezuela, North Korea and Cuba, or do they simply not give a damn?  Sheep, after all, are not known for their spirit of independence or their intelligence.

When I suggest that socialism often leads to tyranny, I am not indulging in right-wing hyperbole.  After all, aside from control of capital and the means of production, one of the essentials of all dictatorships is central control of the media.  In 2008, the left already controls most of the MSM, not to mention the liberal arts departments on most college campuses.

The warning signs are all around us.  Recently, as you may have heard, Beverly West, a reporter with Florida television station WFTV, dared to ask Joe Biden whether Obama’s connection to ACORN was a legitimate concern and whether Obama’s response to Joe the Plumber was Marxist.  As a result, the Obama/Biden campaign informed WFTV that it was cutting off access because of such rude questions.

The American Issues Project, whose TV ad called for an examination of the Obama/Bill Ayers connection, led to the Obama machine’s demand that the Justice Department begin a criminal investigation of the AIP. http://www.americanissuesproject.org/american-issue-project-news/obamas-close-ties-to-radical-terrorist-ayers-documented.html
The idea that the AIP should be investigated for running a legitimate TV ad, but ACORN should not be prosecuted for perpetuating voter fraud is the sort of thing that George Orwell would have dealt with if he’d lived long enough to write a sequel to “1984.”

Now that Obama is the President-elect, there’s no question that the Democrats will pass the ill-named Fairness Doctrine (http://www.csmonitor.com/2008/1125/p09s02-coop.html), thus ensuring that talk radio, the only part of the MSM not fully under control of the far left, will be silenced once and for all.

After that, the Right's only means of communication will be smoke signals. That is assuming that under Obama’s new order they’ll be able to afford blankets.

Now, any Liberal that wants to jump in here and expound why they think I'm wrong, be my guest.

The Democrats will be running the White House, the House and possibly the Senate soon.  Before they make drastic changes, they may want to consider some interesting quotations I found in my trusty little Book of Quotations on government.  My favorites reveal a general wariness of government -- a key principle upon which our republic was founded:

"A government that is big enough to give you all you want is big enough to take everything you have."
-- Barry Goldwater

"A patriot must always be ready to defend his country -- against his government."
-- Edward Abbey

"The greater the power, the more dangerous the abuse."
-- Edmund Burke

Well, Eddie, you got that right. We just handed our government a blank check worth billions to bail out our financial institutions.  And before we let Barack Hussein Obama "make government cool again," we may want to consider this:

"The single most exciting thing you encounter in government is competence, because it's so rare."
-- Daniel Patrick Moynihan

"Government is inherently incompetent, and no matter what task it is assigned, it will do it in the most expensive and inefficient way possible."
-- Charley Reese

"Government is an association of men who do violence to the rest of us."
-- Leo Tolstoy

Sorry, Leo, but folks often forget how nasty government can be.  Right now, folks are clamoring for our government to do something, anything, to fix our economic woes -- forgetting, of course, that our government is a key contributor to those woes.  Here is where government is really effective:

"The government is good at one thing: It knows how to break your legs, then hand you a crutch and say, 'See, if it weren't for the government you wouldn't be able to walk.'"
-- Harry Browne

"Government's view of the economy can be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."
-- Ronald Reagan

"Government cannot make man richer, but it can make him poorer."
-- Ludwig von Mises

We citizens must be more skeptical about well-meaning politicians.  We must look past their flowery words to understand what they really may be up to:

"The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule."
-- H.L. Mencken

"One of the greatest delusions in the world is the hope that the evils in this world are to be cured by legislation."
-- Thomas Reed

"A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul."
-- George Bernard Shaw

Excellent quote, Georgie. You described the 2008 elections more accurately than 99 percent of America's journalists -- and you've been dead since 1950.

Look, it's long been time that America gets back to the basics.  American citizens must stand up and demand a return to the principles of SMALL government:

"That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves."
-- Thomas Jefferson

"The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government -- lest it come to dominate our lives and interests."
-- Patrick Henry

"Our best protection against bigger government in Washington is better government in the states."
-- Dwight D. Eisenhower

Unfortunately, Dwight, we abandoned that concept some time ago.  Unless Americans wake up and remember the origin of our greatness -- it's the people, not the government -- we are poised for the government to expand more, and take more and control us more.

Humorists understand the ramifications better than anyone:

"The primary function of the government is -- and here I am quoting directly from the U.S. Constitution -- 'to spew out paper.'"
-- Dave Barry

"The difference between death and taxes is death doesn't get worse every time Congress meets."
-- Will Rogers

"Did you ever notice that when you put the words 'THE' and 'IRS' together, it spells 'THEIRS?'"
-- Unknown
