Savage Mk II .22 rifle - in match dress

I see the CMP is selling single shot .22 Mk II with accutriggers for a little over $200 clams a copy (clubs and camps only) I also see you can get one from savage with a magazine.  Aperature sights looks like you could put swivels on for a web sling.

How good a rifle is the savage?  I'm thininking of pushing the Boy Scout Council to replace the Marlin .22's the boys use a camp now with the Savages if they're a decent rifle.

Heck might even pick up one myself - so as to show the other Scouters what the savage is like -
