The Third Rail Myth
« on: February 07, 2013, 12:11:42 PM »
If you listen to the talking heads and self proclaimed experts they claim that none of this control crap is going to pass.  They all point to what happened after the Gun Ban of 1994 went into affect, and we cleaned house with those who supported it.  The "experts" will have us believe that gun control is the third rail and instant career death to any politician.

I call bull on this regardless of how liberal, conservative or moderate the person spreading the word is.  I believe that this is a message meant to us into passiveness and lull us to sleep.

Do not trust the polls or the advisers concerning what an elected official will or will not support.  Spread the word in a clear, concise, polite manor.  Even if you get hung up on, do not go into a rant, but let them know that you will not go away.

It's true if you take into account where the particular politician is from .
For example it was the end of NH's Dick Swett, but hasn't hurt DiFi, or Shumer.
However, that just means we need to work harder to remind those in conservative area's of that.

My dad lives in DiFi/Boxer's district.  During the last three elections he's tried to get GOP "shwag" and is told point blank, ""It's a waste of material that could go somewhere a candidate has a chance."  by both local and national offices.
When seconds mean the difference between life and death, the police will be minutes away.

You are either SOLVING the problem, or you ARE the problem.

Sad when nobody in a given place won't fight.  Not nobody.  Sad when a decent candidate can't garner the support of their party  >:(  With that thought, if you can't sell yourself to your party, how are you going to convince the public?

The Cook Political Report (www.cookpolitical.com) provides regularly updated ratings for upcoming political races.  When viewing the charts for 2014 races linked below, we should pay particular attention to those races in the 'Lean' and 'Toss Up' categories.  The incumbents in those districts need to know - beyond any doubt - that their political future will be determined by their 2A voting record.

We need to never let our guard down regardless of what the media tells us about guns or any other subject we care about.

In the Houston area is a gerrymandered district created to give black voters a lock on a seat in the House Of Representatives and the Queen they sent to D.C. is unbeatable. Sheela Jackson Lee is an egomaniacal racist who will have that seat as long as she wants it and any money spent to try to beat her in an election is wasted. Of coarse she supports gun control, massive third world invasion or illegal immigration for the politically correct and huge social welfare programs. She will be easy to spot at the next Residential Address because she will be at BOs feet in some garish load colored outfit and her trademark crown weave.
