Beyond all recognition.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

That's Kommifornia for ya, peace, love. tofu, everything is beautiful in it's own way - esp. if we can confiscate your guns.

Colorado has a Senator that just introduced a bill that would hold gun manufactures liable for the guns they make should their gun be used to kill someone. ::)
So technically every time a cop shoots and kills a bad guy the gun manufacturers will be held accountable. I guess we should hold all the makers of cars, knives, baseball bats liable for the deaths they have caused.
That's the mentality of my so called state leaders - MORONS!
“As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people.  On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and a complete narcissistic moron.”  H.L. Mencken, The Baltimore Evening Sun,  July 26, 1920.

It is a weirder than usual time here. It appears they have the votes for stupidity to get through. I would be long gone from CA but for my kids. As it is I have about 5 more years most likely.

I can't read this cycle very well as CA is really two very separate cultures the very liberal cities and the moderate to conservative non-urban areas. The politics are that most folks are represented by Dems but I am unclear if the rural Dems feel like they can vote silly or recognize the very real growth of the gun culture throughout the state. (No guns or ammo left in stores, standing in line at local ranges to get a turn!). I know a fair number of Libs that when they learn that I am gun friendly they proceed to unburden themselves about their interest, recent purchases, fears, etc.

Between the media and ultra left activists it looks bad, but they are great at ginning up panic. I am no longer tied into Sacramento at all so I can't tell if the professional pols have a more accurate reading of public opinion. My guess is that they would like to be like the feds and posture without consequences.

Nothing like "living in interesting times". I am gearing up for political activity and contingency planning on how to send my most evil guns out of state to friends for an extended vacation if it comes to that. Never thought I would be considered an undesirable, sad

This may be the thing that pushes the state over the edge into collapse if income producers feel so alienated that they start to walk away in numbers.

Joe, I hate to break it to you but CA is already in FREE FALL.
Other than a place to access the Pacific and good weather, what does CA have to offer freedom loving Americans?

<crickets>

I really used to LOVE to go to CA. Now, I HATE it and won't go unless I absolutely have to.

No interest in defending CA, but is still has the 7th largest economy on the planet. It is still one of the top 4 centers of biotech and dotcoms in the world.

It also has some of the worst schools in the country and most out of control government class. We have a corner on old wrinkly sagging drug addled hippies. And we have more lawyers than the rest of country combined.

But it is still less violent than Chicago!

Ignore what happens in CA at your own peril.  As the common (and true) saying goes, "As California goes, so does the nation".  If the gun culture nation rallied to California's aid back in the 90's, maybe we could have stopped this virus dead in it's tracks.  Instead, we got a bunch of "I'm just glad I don't live there" responses such as this.  And now we have laws in place that other states are now facing first hand.

Remember, we're in this fight together and need to be united at fighting proposals like this wherever they pop up.

Nobody is ignoring it, esp. someone who lives next door.
I'm just saying that I will no longer rent vacation houses, cars, hotel rooms, shoot trap competitions, scuba dive, charter fishing boats, hunt, eat, buy gas, beer or anything else in CA.
A large portion of every penny spent in CA goes to support the very scumbags that ruined it. Politicians and freeloaders. (yeah I know, redundant)
Same reason I don't set foot in Illinois. Politicians and freeloaders.

Instead, we got a bunch of "I'm just glad I don't live there" responses such as this

And I thank God I don't!!  AZ has it's own messes to clean up but stepping on gun rights is real low on the totem pole.

You can't defend everywhere all the time.
Write off Ca ,and Ill. get the good people out to fight where they can be effective instead wasted against a rigged deck.
Then walk in after they have died of what they voted for.

I agree with you there.  Due to obligations beyond my control, I'm here for another 2 years, until my son graduates HS.  Then it's Idaho for us.  We've done a couple scouting trips, with a couple more planned, and it suits us.  Feels like home.  Fortunately, I'm in a situation where I work from home so I can relocate anywhere.  All I need is an outlet and a reliable Internet connection.
