Greasy Joe gives SD Advice
« on: February 20, 2013, 10:50:25 AM »
Falling right in line with some assclowns in Colorado, ol' 'Sir Joe of Greaseville' is doling out SD advice:

Vice President Biden’s criminally stupid advice about self defense

Vice President Biden is known far and wide as being the master of the gaffe. Were he a Republican instead of a Democrat, the ‘pet media’ would have long since convinced the American public to have him committed to some nice facility where he could watch Bugs Bunny cartoon for the rest of his life.

But instead, we are stuck with a skinnier version of Peter Griffin as Vice-President, and may God preserve and keep President Obama because we never … ever … want Biden sitting in the Oval Office.

And that brings us to today’s topic.

Biden likes to think of himself as a bit of an expert on … well … just about everything; and guns are no exception.

During a Facebook question and answer session yesterday, Biden insisted that no one would ever need an AR15 or similar semi-auto firearm for self-defense because you could just use a double barrel shotgun.

His advice to Americans is the same as his advice to his wife Jill.  “f there’s ever a problem just walk out on the balcony here … put that double-barreled shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house.”

He went on to add that “You don’t need an AR-15. It’s harder to aim. It’s harder to use and in fact you don’t need 30 rounds to protect yourself.”

Well … since we, unlike Vice President Biden, are all bound by the laws of the states in which we live as well as the laws of physics, let’s do a breakdown of his assertions.

Here is my response posted earlier:

I am in the process of mailing off my letters of resignation to the National Rifle Association Education Department, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and three other organizations I am certified to teach under.

Thank You Vice President Biden!!!

Am am totally ashamed of my actions over the past decades, and I will be informing law enforcement and the County Attorney of my actions for prosecution.

I have been teaching that all firearms (handgun, rifle and shotgun) are sighted the same - You align your eyes with the barrel and align the sights with the target.  Mr. Biden has pointed out that I do not know how to aim correctly.  I have been teaching that the fourth rule of firearm safety is "Know your target and what is beyond."  Mr. Biden taught me this morning that it is appropriate to just point the shotgun and fire both barrels.  I have long taught that you are responsible for every projectile that leaves your firearm, but Mr. Biden has educated me that it is better to fire to scare suspects, if they exist, off.

I am so sorry that I can not fully express my grief.  I beg your mercy for the damage I have done to society through my education, and I will be talking to a real estate agent and auctioneer to liquidate all of my worldly goods to donate to the Brady Campaign to right my wrongs.

I completely and utterly trust Greasy Joe on all matters of firearms and SD.  In fact, I heard that he was going to be taking Seeklander's place on Best Defense once his political career is done.

So you're telling me the Box 'o Truth is lying about this whole shotgun thing?

Lessons learned:
1. After doing additional tests, I now feel that this test had a flaw.  Having the sheetrock pieces so close together allowed them to “stack up” and gave a false result.  By spreading the sheets out, like in a home, we found that buckshot will penetrate 4 walls (8 sheets of sheetrock)easily.

To see the results, please see, Rifles, Shotguns, And Walls.

The slug penetrated all 12 boards.

2. Once again, please notice the size of the entrance spreads....2 1/2" to 3 1/2". Therefore, anyone that says, "With a shotgun, you don't even have to aim. Just point it in the general area of the bad guy, and you can't miss", does not know what they are talking about.

You can very easily miss with a shotgun. You must aim to hit your target.

3. The slugs were "bad" penetrators. By that, I mean that they will penetrate several interior walls. If you have loved ones in your home, consider this as you select your home defense weapon.

4. I "racked" the shotgun several times during the tests, and no bystanders lost control of their bowels.
Conclusion: Racking a shotgun will not make the bad guy faint.

Frankly, I was surprised that the shotgun did not penetrate more than it did. I had been led to believe that they penetrated more than a .223 rifle or a 9mm or .45 ACP. Such was not the case.

Bravery and stupidity are often synonymous.  So are cowardice and intelligence.

"We Americans have been a rebellious band of freedom loving vagabonds from the very beginning. Our freedom from the crown and tyranny would not exist had it not been for the gun. That's a tradition we like to hold on to.  The same can't be said for the rest of you 'Subjects of the Queen'."--said to a Canadian friend who just doesn't get it.

I always wonder about the people like Biden who think Hillary is qualified to be President just because she was married to one. I wouldn't let a doctor's wife operate on me just because she married a surgeon.
