Why wont Ruger standup to the government and support the 2nd?  They cant sell that much to the government.  Ruger supported the 10 round mag last time.

Give me some backstory. Are they selling out again? They seemed to have changed their stripes with their AR and making Hi-caps for the 10-22. I thought they'd changed their ways.

There is a movement to have the firearms industry 'Black List' .gov and .state entitites that are 'behind enemy lines'

The 10 round support was an old Bill Ruger thing
Have your musket clean as a whistle, hatchet scoured, 60 rounds powder and ball and be ready to march at a minute's warning.

We need to not get too wrapped up in the past until it is confirmed that is still the stance.  Bill Ruger took his stance, just like many others took compromise stances, based on what they were facing and expecting.  The NRA was an advocate of background checks for reasons they have explained.  However, they have now taken a 180 on this.  After trying, and the government failing at this, the NRA says no to the background check system.

Just like NRA once promoted and now through experience has learned and changed their stance, we need to allow others the same.

We must not only let companies know we will boycott them if they don't support the 2A but that we will support them and buy there products if they do. Also don't forget to send them a thank you note for their support when they do.

Exactly.  Use a carrot rather than a stick.  I wrote a letter to Olympic Arms to thank them for their stance and I mentioned that I would now seriously consider purchasing their products in the future over other larger brands.  This week, I'm writing letters to S&W, SA, Remington, Ruger, Sig and Glock to encourage them to do the same, and if they do, that I would give them preferential consideration in my future purchases.  I also reminded them it would put political pressure on politicians to dissuade them from passing more gun ban laws, giving the public more opportunities to purchase their products unhindered.  Even though they're publicly traded, a ton of letters like this would give their boards evidence that taking a stance would be in their best long term financial interest.

How much state and Gov business does Ruger do ?
Their factories are in NH and Az, only the Corp office is in Conn.
They may be standing on the sidelines cheering on Companies Like CMMG & Beretta
