Visit to State Capital,What about CCW?
« on: March 04, 2013, 06:06:36 AM »
I'm just an old country boy and I avoid going into Denver as much as possible, especially downtown where all the gangster,muggers, politicians, and other nar-do-wells hang out.  But if I'm going to make my voice heard on these anti-gun issues I'm going to have to buck it up and go there, and I ain't going unarmed.  I know I can't go into the Captal building with it and want to maintain my standing as a "law abbiding citizen" but really worry about leaving it in my car.  I'm sure the BGs know that a lot of the visitors this week are likely to have guns and the parking lots are full of booty.  I have a locking metal box that is cable locked to metal frame work but I'd bet the gremlins have figured a quick way around those by now.  So, what do you savy guys and gals do when you go down to visit our "Misrepresentatives"?  Also, can we CCW around, just not in the Capital building? ???

here's a good site for those answers you seek.
also note that 'no gun' signs have no authority of law in the state of Colorado. also check the link for banned firearms in Denver, Saturday night specials and 'assault weapons' don't want to carry the wrong gun...

Call the instructor who gave the class you took.  He will give you an overview, and he will show you the statute.

I carry at our Capitol and in the local courthouse, but I know the steps and took them.

Hi;

    If I have to park my vehicle in a bad area , I try to have nothing of value laying around, I do not throw a blanket over anything - it makes people think of valuable items you want to hide to keep.

     If the subject is going to be a gun rally, then the bad guys know that other people have guns and the BG's know to let you have your say, demonstrate as you will and then the BG's know you will leave their area and not take the chance of getting shot by many/any  armed citizen(s). They (BG) will wait until the average sheep return to the hunting grounds of thier turf.

    It would be nice to get the daily reports from the police as to when a pro gun rally is being held - just how much the crime rate in that area had dropped ?
