I have my dad's 26 and it stays in the safe, I need to get a IWB holster for it and I'd probably carry it more.  I carry my XDM 45 4.5 everyday instead... ???

Good holster makes a world of difference and I like 45  ;D

M58, you will still love, cherish and admire all your 1911s.

You might find, though, that your Glock is hanging out with you most often.

Be sure to check out the thread that was running on smoothing the trigger...nothing difficult, just some careful stoning to smooth some contact surfaces.  I think the thread was the work of Badgersmilk and that Peg followed the procedure.

Also get to Lone Wolf Distributors and check out the the different weight Connectors, trigger springs and the NY Trigger setup.  Using different combinations, you can change your trigger pull from a smooth 8lb to a smooth 1.5lb and many between in minutes with drop in parts.

I prefer this design over the Ghost connector design for over travel adjustment.

I'm sure it will work into the stable just fine.  First it needs a good bath, which will happen tomorrow (Saturday bath night) with my carry guns.  Then it is lots of use and off to the leather shop for new leather (In the morning I pick up my brand new leather for the 1911).

Three adjustments:

1.  It is a 9mm;
2.  No thumb rest;
3.  Not as streamlined as the 1911.

Plus side:

It is a gun!

I've given up looking for a 9mm Glock.
Now I'm searching the parts I need to convert my 23 or 27. From quickly looking I think all I need is a barrel, extractor and mags and a trigger housing. Pretty cheap for a 'new' 9mm.

I'm still kicking myself for not picking up the FDE G19 I saw at Cabela's. I knew it was mismarked $50 less than the other ones and I passed it up.  ::)

Well m58, the good news is for Sat. Night, just take it in the bath with you or the dishwasher. Both do the trick. When I was seduced by the dark side, it was for a G21. "Railroad Tie With Grip" but the damn thing has an appeal that makes me lug that thing around.

My 1911 has accepted the role as the "distinguished .45" while the G is the one that can be the down and dirty girl, and if I don't clean her up for a day or two, she doesn't care.

When I bought my G23 package (.40) it came with the Lone Wolf 9mm barrel and two G19 magzines. No extra extractor.  Just swap out the barrel and go.
Will work for ammo

I was thinking of using OEM parts but there would be slop between barrel/slide.
I'm going the route yours has and just use the conversion barrel. The mags are already ordered.

While I was on Cabela's site, I saw a 31 round .40 mag so I ordered one just to piss off Gabby, Mark and Fineswine. :)

Dude, you bought a good gun! Don't piss and moan about it. It will kill BGs dead at 25 yards every time if you yank the trigger right (and yes I'm being past giving a crap about PC). Thing is the glock is the most un PC pistol out there. It's designed to do one thing. And it does it very well. Be happy with the new gun. Its a fine piece of hardware and don't apologize to anyone for owning it.

Much like MB, I shower with my 1911 ... The joys of stainless steel  ;D

In our carry classes the lead instructor talks about needing to sleep with his on to break the holster in.  When he points out my holster (he wears a pancake, and I have a IWB) and then one of us points out that I clean mine by wearing it in the shower.  Jokes flow because he carries a blue commander, and mine is a SST government.  I think most of the people in the class think we really do  ::)
