Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said on Monday that a controversial assault weapons ban will not be part of a Democratic gun bill that was expected to reach the Senate floor next month,

“After a meeting with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Monday, a frustrated Feinstein said she learned that the bill she sponsored — which bans 157 different models of assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines — wouldn’t be part of a Democratic gun bill to be offered on the Senate floor.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has decided that a proposed assault weapons ban won't be part of a gun control bill the Senate plans to debate next month, the sponsor of the ban said Tuesday, a decision that means the ban stands little chance of survival.

     Dont forget that @ 27 Dem Senators are up for re-election in 2014, Hary does not want to loose his position and control.

This is GOOD news for sure.  We're still not out of the woods though.  Schumer's UBC bill is still out there and there will also be a magazine capacity bill to fight.  There will still be a few VERY dangerous votes in the Senate - probably next month.  We've got to stay in the game and keep the pressure on Congress.

The plan is to add amendments to the bill including an assault weapons ban amendment as the votes progresses.

Dunceberg is launching a $12 million anti-gun campaign.  We are not out of the woods by a long shot.  I think it is time we take the fight to them, just not sure how to do do it...peacefully.  ;D

WHEN will gun culture learn?
WHEN will we pull pages from the LGB community - ACT UP crowd - IN THEIR FACE - LOUD - ANNOYING a bur under EVERY saddle - EVERY PLACE they go - SHOUT THEM DOWN - MAKE THEM very very very uncomfortable.

REMIND them WE are NOT the minority - but no one wants to rock the boat, every one wants to be the civilized side.
