Prarie Dog Grounds.....
« on: March 19, 2013, 08:07:07 PM »
Sometime around end of May and first of April my two youngest boys (21 & 18) are meeting family at Yellowstone.  They will trek up through mid Kansas, swing west at the middle to  83 on north and swing by Mount Rushmore.  From there Yellowstone for a bit and then down through the Tetons and (bypassing as much of Colorado as possible) end up around Raton and across the Texas/OK panhandle to home outside Tulsa.

So...they want to take in some prairie dog hunting.  Any suggestions along the way?  They will have some 22-250 and plenty of .223 and 17 HMR.  Time to make arrangements I guess is right now whilst planning.

Thanks,
Ken

Cooptire is just off 81 in south central (I think he is still there), and mama bear is a little east but could have some suggestions.  Then there is JC in Wyoming.

I think daughter knows some farmers in the Garden City area.  I will check with her this weekend and see what I can find out.

PM me for a phone number, if they are in central WYO I know a few spots. Prairie doggin has been pretty light the last few years due to the drought though.
