HiViz Shooting Systems Leaving Colorado, Credits State Gun Laws

Fort Collins, Colorado, April 1, 2013 -HiViz Shooting Systems (a division of North Pass Ltd.), announces plans to relocate operations out of the state of Colorado due to recent changes in Colorado state gun control legislation. HiViz President and CEO, Phillip Howe, states that talks are currently under way with officials of a neighboring state regarding the move.

Mr. Howe comments, "I make this announcement with mixed emotions. Colorado is a beautiful state with great people, but we cannot in clear conscience support with our taxes a state that has proven through recent legislation a willingness to infringe upon the constitutional rights of our customer base." Mr. Howe notes that prior to the changes in law in Colorado, he made several attempts to persuade state officials via emails and telephone calls to proceed slowly with gun control legislation that would impact individual shooters and the shooting industry as a whole.

Although the relocation will be expensive and time consuming, he adds, "It is in the best interest of our company and our customers." Starting with corporate headquarters, the operations will be moved over an extended period of time ensuring no interruption of services to its customer base, and HiViz states that the majority of its employees will make the move with the corporate operations. More details regarding the location and timing of the relocation will be announced as details are finalized.

How many lost jobs, good jobs, will it take them to wake up? Yeah, they can open a "Buffalo Wild Wings", with its anti CCW policy, but I doubt they pay Mag-pul and Hi-viz wages and benefits. Principle is lost on these folks. Maybe dollars will make them wake up.

I am sure the scoundrels in government can not understand companies doing this. It make me proud to be part of this community to see folks with honor and backbone. having been through company moves before I know this is a real pain for them.

I think I shall forward that message in its entirety to my legislators, state and federal.

I just steered my son to buy their front sight for his PT1911 because of this.  Small part but anything I can do to support those that stand up and fight the tyranny that is working hard to undermine our civil rights.

Does this also mean that Michael will have to relocate his hidden bunker?

In Podcast 309 he hinted that he may not be building a new HB in CO but that he would be building a new HB.
