Mrs. DeGette, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I did not watch the video.
I was afraid that exposure to that level of ignorance would cause my IQ to drop.

The thing is, she is not an aberration.
She is a perfect example of those telling us what kind of guns we should or should not have.

Her not knowing is  not the worst  thing here.

Even if she were to realize she is working to write laws about something which she knows nothing about, she will still think she is doing the right thing rather than feel shamed by her ignorance and arrogance.

One big problem is that there are people that will believe this crap and logic leaving them to believe that this a viable solution to "gun violence".  None of the state laws recently passed or proposed on the federal level will make a rat's butt difference in evil, but too many people out there are too lazy too educate themselves about guns, magazines, clips, ammunition, bullets, etc.
They are educated by sound bites.

She may not be that big of a dumb ass.  This just perpetuates a myth lie that passing nonsensical laws against responsible citizens will make a difference.  Remember tell lies and tell them often and the sheep will be believe it.
