and Stoeger goes with them.

http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/04/daniel-zimmerman/fed-up-beretta-promises-they-will-leave-maryland/

Beretta’s had enough of Maryland’s ever-more restrictive gun laws and announced they’ll abandon their facilities in Accokeek for a more firearms-friendly locale. From opposingviews.com: “Beretta warned that stricter gun control laws would push the company outside of state lines, but that didn’t stop Maryland legislators. Jeffrey Reh, a spokesman for Beretta who also serves as the President of Stoeger Industries under Beretta, announced that the company would begrudgingly uproot and take its business elsewhere. He said, ‘We don’t want to do this, we’re not willing to do this, but obviously this legislation has caused us a serious level of concern within our company.’ He added that Beretta paid approximately $31 million in taxes, employs 400 people, and had invested $73 million in the business over the past several decades.”

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

It sucks for the workers who can't/won't relocate, but I say good for them. These Aholes don't care about the Constitution, but they can count money. When their BS costs them jobs, good jobs, and all the support jobs? Maybe they'll get it.

One can hope it's the same way Mussolini got it, but in reality, these wankers will spin it and get re-elected. One thing the Dems know how to do is "win" elections.

And that leads to the demise of the regions they control.  "Sooner or later you run out of other peoples money." Margret Thatcher.

In many of these places the mentality is so ingrained in the voters that they don't even have to spin it. They campaign on the fact that they pushed out the "evil" gun manufacturer. Sadly in many places, this would be a winning campaign.

While we all focused on Beretta, this legislation also negatively impacts LWRC located in Cambridge MD. We should be hearing from them shortly. So, friends, send your cards, letters and emails to the state of MD telling them that you won't be buying, hunting, traveling, staying, vacationing or gambling in this state ever again. The monies generated by such businesses generate over $500 million per year. Money talks. OBTW, I was informed by a little birdie today that the Militia has changed its name to "Constitutional Defense Force". This is going to be a long battle.

Correct.  They are shepple and just follow along
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

While I worry about the jobs lost and those who will be unemployed, Maybe they will place the blame on those who brought it about come election time. Hell, move to sunny Arizona! The state is business friendly and home prices are good.

"They", meaning Leftist politicians and bureaucrats, will never, ever "get it".
