14 People Stabbed at Lone Star Community College in Texas

April 9, 2013
A man has been arrested after allegedly going on a stabbing spree and wounding people at a Texas community college near Houston , according to authorities.

The attacks took place at Lone Star Community College in Cypress, Texas.

Four victims were taken by helicopter and two more taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals, said Robert Rasa of the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department.

One witness, identified only as James, told ABC News affiliate KTRK-TV that several students were stabbed in the neck and others helped tackle the suspect.

--------------------

The suspect appeared to be a student, wearing all black including a cap and appeared to have hearing aids, according to James. He also said the suspect used what appeared to be an Exacto-knife to stab people.

An emergency bulletin was initially released warning students that two armed suspects were on campus.

"Two armed suspects at LSC-CyFair. One suspect is at large. Stay away from the area. Seek shelter in a secure location until the incident is resolved. Be aware of your surroundings," the school told students via an emergency bulletin.

Police said they now believe there was only one suspect, but are searching the campus.

"It appears campus is safe at this point," Alan Bernstein spokesman for Harris County Sheriff told ABC affiliate KTRK-TV.

Isn't it high time for "reasonable restrictions" on knives?

Another example of why we have to ban those "evil assault weapons".

What do you mean, he didn't use an "assault weapon" ?
Neither do most other murderers.

Villainous Exacto Knives must be dealt with....especially those evil high-capacity styles.

I have an Exacto knife kit with three handles and twelve different blades..... ALL IN ONE BOX!!

OH the horror!!....

I must be one lethal feller......   ::)

Have to have REALLY good aim to do lethal damage with an XActo, but mass violence none-the-less.
Notice they tackled the suspect.  How very restrained for Texans.  They could should have shot him. ;D
When seconds mean the difference between life and death, the police will be minutes away.

You are either SOLVING the problem, or you ARE the problem.

The only thing that bothers me more than the fact these things are avaliable at any hobby shop, is anyone can just walk in and buy one in 5 minutes. No background check. Even if you're a minor. What is this world coming to?

Oh my God, hi capacity assault razors !    :o

NH does not regulate knives in any manner, switch blades, swords, whatever, it's all OK.
