A BELT buckle has saved a supermarket employee by stopping a stray bullet from a shootout outside a US grocery store.
Bienvenido Reynoso, 38, said he was about to take a dolly outside late Wednesday afternoon when shots started flying, so he hit the ground inside the store, WPVI reported. Surveillance video shows a snack cake being shot off the shelf above his head.
Police said a man was shot in the stomach on the street outside the store in the Gray's Ferry section of Philadelphia. No arrests have been made.
Mr Reynoso said he didn't realise he was hit until someone pointed out a hole in his shirt, and he discovered the bullet in his belt buckle.
Christian Vinas, 21, working behind the counter, also dove to the ground when the shooting began.
"That has to be God," Mr Vinas said. "Out of all the places you could get hit in the body, you get hit right there. It was truly amazing."
Mr Vinas, who moved to Philadelphia from Florida about a month ago, said it was the second shooting in the past week in the neighbourhood.

Three bullet holes - two in the doors and one in a window by the snack cakes - remained unrepaired overnight.

very lucky bloke that one..
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

Yeah...shooters were kids on bikes in a one of the crappier neighborhoods. The guy quit and is looking for another job.

My question is...what is with the underwear?

Don't know that, but I bet it isn't usable as underwear any longer after this episode.  ;)
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison
