A Warning to All Gun Bloggers and Forums. Food for Thought
« on: April 17, 2013, 12:59:34 PM »

Got an email alert to this Guns America blog story.  A good read and something to think about.
Any suspects around here?????

Dear Friends,

Please be aware that there are what we call “Bloomberg shills” lurking in the comments of gun blogs and forums at present. It has been going on since before the election, and we first noticed it as far back as our January 8th, 2012 article “2nd Amendment Voters Should Vote Ron Paul.” At first it seemed like fun because they got a lively discussion going, and many of our articles have over 400 comments just because of a few anti-gun comments peppered in by a shill here and there. But as more and more of them have come in, we have begun to realize that it is better to delete them. The anti-gunners have a plan, and that plan is to make gun people look stupid, heartless, and separate from the values of mainstream America. A recent “whistleblower” post about the Boston Marathon explosions is especially troubling. If you are part of a gun blog or forum, please don’t allow this post to spread, and beware that more attempts to make 2nd Amendment defenders look bad are coming.

........ continued at link above.

I'd be careful about this. Yes there are trolls out there but this is also how hardliners purge anyone who doesn't goose step the line they lay down. Someone who's a member of the Second Amendment Foundation is going to have a different take than a member of GOA or NRA. Members of the Pink Pistols or Jews for the Preservation of Firearms may not run in the same circles that many Gen 1 gun owners like you and I do. I got called a Troll when I first joined just because I came out of the gate hard bashing 1911's (I'd just came from a training class where all the time was sucked up trying to get the remedial students "pretty guns" to work) and yet I'm still here. People can disagree. I would say look for people who just don't know what they're talking about but sadly a lot of good 2nd amendment supporters posting fall into that category. Once legislation clears up these people will disappear.

Good advice. I've been called all sorts of things here, even an Obama voter, thought that was true (one time), but the point is, ignore the flames, make your posts, because while you may get a wedgie now and then, this is about the most un PC board, left or right wing on the net.Any opinion is welcome if you're pro-2A.  Welcome aboard.

There's a joke about that but it's pretty rude   ;D

Does this mean I'm on "another" list?

That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Easier to go the other way.
Get a list of Govt lists, then start checking off the ones you're probably not on.
