On top of that some of the air freight contracts went to some ridiculously shady carriers, such as Victor Bout, who made billions using a fleet of aging Soviet transports to ship guns all over Africa .

Connie Kalitta of NHRA drag racing fame is another. His company Kalitta Air made a fortune utilizing older civilian 747's as cargo planes. He made millions moving cargo and heavy equipment for the companies who fought the Kuwaiti oil fires. His aircraft have been involved in numerous accidents. Nothing as spectacular as this however.

If that amount of weight suddenly broke to the rear, at that slow a speed, damn near instant stall, and she fell almost straight down.

Amazing he got the nose down and made a uturn, and got the wings level in that short a radius. I'm sure the co-pilot was standing on the throttles.

He needed too much more altitude to gain airspeed, but I'm sure he was fighting for it all the way down.

RIP.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
