That's the percent being listed as those that think Armed Revolution might be needed to protect liberties.

29% of those polled think this might be necessary in the next few years.

18 percent of Democrats
44 percent of Republicans
27 percent of Independents

It's a national poll, but only asked 863 registered voters.

The weirdest part though is this.  Out of the 29% that think armed revolution might be necessary, 38% of them support additional gun control legislation.    WTF?

So let me see if I get this theory:

Bob - "We gotta revolt and fight for our freedoms."

Mike - "Yeah! But we should limit our capacity to seven rounds and not have anything semi auto."

Who the hell were these 863 people asked?  (Ok the 95 out of 250.3 [the 38% of the 29%])

Things that make you go Hmmm?  A liberal aquaintence stopped by the house the other day and started with the old "can't cut back on Government spending, rotten rich people, dumb Republicans, that kind of stuff. Then he talked about keeping their small rural property and home so the family, kids, grandkids and all could come to live if need be. Seems he fears hard times are a coming despite all the "great things" BHO is doing for us.

I saw this number and I recall Tom saying somewhere on here that only 30% of the people supported the Revolution, kinda surprised he hasn't chimed in already.  Funny, will the phrase "Those that don't know their history are prone to repeat it." about to be proven right yet again?

What isn't stated specifically is what those 29% think the revolution will be against.

Would not be surprised if the Liberals/Democrats are thinking that a revolution against the wealthy and the rich, powerful bankers is the only way to make folks pay their fair share.

If  you get any of the Democrat propaganda asking for contributions it is clear they are portraying themselves as down trodden underdogs who are only avoiding enslavement by the corporate bankers by the grassroots money sent in from their supporters.

I saw it, I'm just wandering if any one will do anything effective about it or not  .1/3 in favor of Liberty, 1/3 Obama /Tories and 1/3  just wondering around lost.

Then and now , unresponsive, overbearing govt that tries to control information as much as possible and cramming unpopular bill's down our throats.
Back then the 30% who were pro Liberty were far more violent than the modern man while it was the Tories who were more "proper".
What the Son's of liberty" and other Patriot groups did makes OWS pale by comparison .
But it worked .
Many modern citizens have never been in a fist fight !  Ever ! 
They may think "Revolution" needs to happen, but no one seems to be standing up like Tom Paine or Sam Adams.
Organization is the first requirement.
In this Al Queda is a good example.
All these domestic Muslims who have engaged in bombings or whatever, they do not need to pay a membership fee, or learn the secret handshake to be part of Al Queda, they just have to believe the same way, and act in accordance to their goals.
The idea is that one central command group simply issues sermons and fatwa's let the seeds fall on fertile ground .
The only thing the actual "Al Queda" people might have to provide was  some technical training, after that, no further direct contact is ever needed , they just go home recruit friends and act in accord with the sermons from their Wahabi preacher's .
The original Hamas in the 1st 'Intifada" ( 1990ish ? ) operated in an equally loose fashion, in fact, so did our own revolution.
The speeches of politicians and preachers were widely published on "broadsides pasted on walls.
The "official" news went up during the day, our guy's worked at night 
People who never met a "Patriot" stopped and read them and thought about hat they had read.
The next time a mob formed, maybe he was in it .
We need a small core of  intelligent charismatic credible  leaders to lay out a coherent platform, and strategy .
Who fits the bill though ?
