I keep a pocket sized copy (I got two free form the Heritage Foundation) hand at most all times. I have actually, on several occasions, pulled it out and asked someone to "show me where it says" whatever they may be blowing gas about. Works every time.

I had one of those but left it at my Father-in-laws last year.  I do have a copy on my phone though  

For Independence Day I read the Declaration of Independence before we ate, probably haven't read it all the way through in 10-15 years.  Those that paid attention were struck by some of the reasons given and how close they were to what we are experiencing today.

Yeah...and now the Declaration is viewed by many in education as more of a subversive document than a unique Declaration of the natural rights of The People and their separation from tyranny.

No doubt tyrants would view it as a subversive document to be crushed, ridiculed and destroyed.

Seems like the 10th may have been the first to be bitch slapped over the couch.
Not even most of us take that one seriously, as far as optimistic expectations go, seems like.. 
I guess it'll take the most digging to get back to, though I do think it would be quicker to rediscover the Constitution by going forward.. (New Party, new Country..)
