Advice on CCW in Tennessee
« on: June 07, 2013, 07:12:44 PM »
We have been on kind of a driving tour of Tennessee last few weeks from my home state of NC.  I checked on the CCW basic law in Tn and they honor my CCW permit from NC (reciprocity agreement).  NC is bad about allowing local governments to amendment CCW, towns, some local parks, etc. prohibiting carry that making carry confusing even for those who live here in NC, much less someone from out of state.  I have  yet to see a sign posted anywhere not allowing carry, even in Nashville.  We were in Nashville for the beginning of the Country Music Festival.  I didn't want to push it so carried my Taser C2 instead as it looks more like  cell phone, is yellow and easily fit in my pocket.  Coming from a one stoplight town, Nashville was a bit intimidating in the party district and wine-o district with vomit and drunks asleep on benches and under walkways in there in-town smallish parks and statue plots honoring people.  Reminded me of New Orleans during Marti-Gras.  I thought about imitating my father-in-law who carried a .25 in an ankle holster before there was CCW permits (i.e. carry concealed any old way law or not) but not with a .25 but with my 9mm PM9 Kahr.

Any Tennessee folks around?
