I was at Bass Pro's website buying my scope base. While I was there I went to the clearance section under shooting. I almost bought a swinging steel .22/air gun target for eight bucks plus six bucks shipping. I then paused and asked "What kind of half assed swamp redneck would I be if I paid good money for something to shoot at with a pellet gun or .22"? The shame would be unbearable. So, out to the garage I went, and, just like the inventor of the shamwa, thigh master and bass-o-matic, inspiration struck. I found a 4 foot length of 1x4, and some large nails. Drive three nails through the board, impale three empty cans or water bottles and then attach three of the small size post-its to them and there you go, instant "steel' targets. Total cost? Zero dollars. As a bonus, you could fill the bottles with sand to act as a pellet trap.
