“As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people.  On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and a complete narcissistic moron.”  H.L. Mencken, The Baltimore Evening Sun,  July 26, 1920.

Reading between the lines, the Sheriff couldn't find an FFL to come out and run the thing.

And if "Together Colorado buys more than 5 handguns in 24 hours, do they get reported to the BATF?

Since they don't intend these purchases for "personal" use, are they straw buyers?
Will work for ammo

One other item of note is that a lot of FFL's aren't doing private gun buy background checks because they aren't making any money doing them. I believe that the state set the price at $10. So.....FFL's are saying sorry.

Lord, they charge $25-$50 for a transfer here and are happy to do it as its free money. But here the anti were smart. By taking the profit out of it, folks will be reluctant to do it.

Oregon has a similar law that defines what a Gun show is, because we closed the "gun show loop hole" as any event where there are more than 20-25 firearms.  At a recent "gun buy back", they used to own ALL guns don't you know, a citizen journalist asked them on video where the FFL holder was and was kicked off the property by LEOs.   ::)
