I know i know they are everywhere right? well I did a search on here and yes there are some, but I want to see some more  to get some ideas for a next buy. I really want a colt, but you never. And to me if you seen one you seen them all does not apply at all.
Did we win???

Here’s a couple of my favorites, a 1924 1911A1 and a 1966 LW Commander.  I got them cheap as welded-up-solid DEWATS being used as forms by a holster maker. I cut the solid-welded top halves off them with a Dremel, sourced new old Colt slides and barrels from eBay back when you still could, and filled them up with generic guts from SARCO. As you can see, they both work fine now!  :) Last year the 1911A1 got a Ciener .22 kit and I put 6,000 rounds through it. A fun project all around.

And the promise of burglar blood,
And he's yearning to chew on a gangster tattoo
And to hear the proverbial sickening thud...

I love the 1911a1.  I learned to shoot handguns, using a 1911a1.  I shot competition in the military using an accurized 1911a1.  I was a military range master, instructing Navy pilots on the care and feeding of the 1911a1.  I've owned 3, but now I own only one.  I got the Springfield GI for nostalgia, but chose the 4 inch version so I could carry it a bit easier.

I don't carry it often, preferring the S&W da/sa system, and carry a S&W 457, in .45acp.  Why?  After the Navy and in my police career, I carried S&W for 30+ years.  I can operate them in my sleep.  It is second nature for me.  My fear is that I may fumble the thumb safety on a 1911a1 in a stress shooting situation.  Old dog, new tricks?  Perhaps, but hey it's still a .45.   8)

I just got this last month. It's as accurate as my eyes allow, and loves my reloads. the only add-ons are the stocks and an extended slide release.

I think you should have put that on an old Pizza Hut box just to tick them off.

Here's a few ;)

para c6 and c7 both LDA'S

para p14 limited LDA with XS big dot sights on a Bomar adj sight.

Put together gun, Essex SS frame, checkered, GI slide, Gi barrel with match bushing,MGW fixed high sights, S&A beavertail, Wilson cheapo plastic magwell and a trigger job.

Series 70 government model, E nickel finish, mostly unmolested except for the trigger job and beavertail.

Game Gun, Sti frame, colt slide, barsto barrel, 5 port comp, .38 Super, C More slide ride and mount.

Caspian high cap frame, springfield 1991 a1 slide, 9mm, melted Bomar with fiber optic front sight, beavertail, trigger job. This gun is like shooting a .22, loads of fun and 21 rounds.

Springfield frame, checkered, S&A magwell, colt slide, Kart barrel, NM bushing, high mount Bomar for bullseye shooting, cylinder and slide hammer and sear. 2lb trigger. As pictured it has a Marvel .22 conversion unit on it.

Well that's it, but I have 2 more building as this is typed, a Les Bauer matched frame and slide, and a Safari Arms Match Master slide and frame. All above work by yours truly.

Enjoy the Porn.
