Pardon my crankiness today, (work sucks) but I just have to get something off my chest. First, I am BY NO MEANS a grammer expert or english major, but I've got a complaint.

Like the progressive mispronounciation of the word "athlete" that blossomed in the last decade (how many now say, "ath-a- lete") there is a grammer mistake that is driving me nuts. It is the explosion of misuse of the apostrophe and the letter "s".

Gun
Guns (more than one gun)
Gun's (the gun OWNS something)
Guns' (more than one gun owns something)

It's THAT simple folks.

Uhh.... not to be cruel, and I'm the last to correct anyone's spelling, but its grammar, not grammer. So, consider yourself grammared. ;D

I can be pickier than thou.   ;D ;D

It should be (more than one gun own something)

In that phrase, gun is the object of the preposition than and more is the subject of the verb own.  More is a plural noun so the verb needs to be plural also.  Own is the plural form.    He owns...   We own.

Got the new handout for the insurance company with all the benefits and rates.

They have coverage for individuals and spouce.

Also, under dental they cover Fluride treatments.

At work I'm responsible for the digital marquee.  Last week I had to send several slides back to the developer because of grammar and punctuation.   One was for, "Childrens"   

I understand on forums and SMS and Twitter there are typos, but for prepared material being sent out to customers...come on.
