First album I ever bought..

How about that.  I bought my first albums in honor of the same achievement and in the same place...just 15 years earlier.

Probably James Gang, Jimmy, Dr. Hook, Blind Faith, Zeppelin, the Band, Santana, Iron Butterfly...can't remember anymore.

Iron Butterfly's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" was the first buy for me. Mine was vinyl though.

it would have to have been a cassette.   that was 20+ years ago.  I know a van halen( not haggar) was the 1st cd.  I  do have a couple thousand lps of mainly jazz, classical and some opera.

My first album was Abacab by Genesis. Not sure about the first CD. Might have been The Wall by Pink Floyd. Funny enough, I do not have either of those anymore.

The first cassette I ever bought with my own (lawnmowing) money was Foreigner's "Agent Provocateur."

The Music Man. I was in the 6th grade. Our school put on the play. I had the lead. The album helped my get my part down.
