Nah. Tracking says it left Memphis at 430 pm, so with Thanksgiving I'm thinking Friday.

Don't believe FedEx's delivery time.  They told me they'd be there at 8:00PM, when the drivers are all back to the house by 4:30.  ::)

I walked around the house at a compressed ready dry firing my XDs for a 100 or more times the day I got it back.  Felt a little stiffer but a little smoother.  Shoot fine and carries just like it did before.

Nice to have it home  8)

You have the gun back, so this comment is just for future reference.

We use FedEx as our small package shipper.  Unless you own a bank and can afford the top of the line next day air priority that arrives by 10am, all tracking states "by the end of the business day."  Your drivers have it nice, because I see both UPS, depot 20 miles from us on a straight shot country road, and FedEx, depot 55 miles on a mixture of country and state highways, going past our house at 6:30pm.

Most drivers for both companies will do their best to get to you early if you have one of the next or second day air options.  They are getting less and less flexibility due to gps tracking in the vehicles.

Mean while back at the ranch, based on the promise of end of the business day, if you call in depots will just give you the time of the end of their day.  All vans are due back by 8:30pm - you get told 8:30pm as the latest time.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

My XDs is home. With turkey day travel we arrived home Friday to miss the Fedex guy by one hour (130 pm). I called and the next attempt would be monday, even though it's 2 day shipping. I called them and they put in a re-deliver attempt for the same day but didn't promise. They also said the drivers are back at the "local" facility (an 85 mile round trip for me) at 6 and they're open 'till 7, so I was thinking of making the trip.
20 minutes later someone called me from Fedex and said the driver WOULD be back, and sure enough he raing the bell and braved the barking dogs to deliver.

It came in a small black plastic case with a new 7 rd mag and a lot of paperwork bragging on the "upgrade".
i took it out yesterday and put 100 flawless rounds of my homemade ball ammo. It's accurate, crisp, and is fun to shoot, just like before. The trigger is about the same, except to me it feels like the takeup and feel of the trigger is more clearly defined and the break is very clean. Feels good... better to me than when I sent it away, but that's an opinion.

Except for the 2 month wait, I'm happy with the gun and very happy that the "upgrade" made the gun the same or better instead of ruining a good piece.

Springfield fumbled the ball early on in this thing but I think they made it right.

Happy for you, Jay.

My next 'new' gun purchase (when I can afford it) will, in all likelihood, be an XDs........ the info on this thread has helped, thanks.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo
