THat makes more sense then a waiting period for a gun.  My understanding is the best artist( and this is something you want the best) take weeks to get an appointment with.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

They are trying to stop the "drunk sailor syndrome". Where some drunk clown gets a tattoo because he made the decision in an impaired state. It's my understanding, (mind you I have no tattoos), a tattoo artist with any sort of consideration, will not apply a tattoo to anyone in an impaired state. They will tell them to come back the next day. As always there are people who will take anyone's money at any time.

The problem is it comes down to simply more government trying to protect people from themselves. Idiots will always be idiots. What's next, a 24 hour "waiting period" for hookers?

No self respecting tattoo artist would tattoo some one drunk.  That should not be a law, but most places it is.   for the record I am all for regulating and lic the tattoo indusrty, but only as far as safety practices are concrened.

When I got mine not only was I underage, and drunk, part of the price was a 6 pack for the tattoo guy.

Sober or not I never saw the need, squid or not!  My kid has a few, they look pretty silly.

My pop had several but 10 years at sea will do that.  Statue of Liberty, a Chiefs "Fouled Anchor" and a dagger running through his forearm.

MA didn't allow them until about ten years back, now they're legal.
