I've often said that first the liberals pushed "Don't beat up the queers", that became "gay rights" then they started advancing "Same sex marriage".
In their attack on Western culture the next logical step is to legitimize child molestation.

The American Psychiatric Association’s (APA) decision to once again reclassify pedophilia has led to further concerns that the professional organization is attempting to legitimize the disorder, paving the way for its defense and the recommendation of removal of age-of-consent laws.

In a press release Friday, Liberty Counsel, a nonprofit organization that promotes the causes of religious liberty, the sanctity of human life, and the family observed that in its newly published Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5), APA “changed the classification of pedophilia from a ‘disorder’ to a ‘sexual orientation,’ but, following the public outcry, APA released a statement that it was a mistake.”

APA, Liberty Counsel noted, now states “sexual orientation” is an error and should read instead, “sexual interest.”

On Thursday, APA released a statement regarding what it referred to as a “text error” in DSM-5:

    In the case of pedophilic disorder, the diagnostic criteria essentially remained the same as in DSM-IV-TR. Only the disorder name was changed from “pedophilia” to “pedophilic disorder” to maintain consistency with the chapter’s other disorder listings.

    “Sexual orientation” is not a term used in the diagnostic criteria for pedophilic disorder and its use in the DSM-5 text discussion is an error and should read “sexual interest.” In fact, APA considers pedophilic disorder a “paraphilia,” not a “sexual orientation.” This error will be corrected in the electronic version of DSM-5 and the next printing of the manual.

     also to think about is that the APA people have been around whacko's for so long - it is starting to affect their ability to see the trre from the forest.

     have a person drink a lot for a long time and they become an acoholic or just numb to what is happening aound them....

     And then the Association could be "infiltrated" by sicko's just trying to defend their problems...

     Santa, at least here we do not hide behind any false cover.

     We freely admit that we love the USA, Family, God , Guns and the Constitution. We are ( Most ) rabid is the defence of them all.

     it is our passion, our love and our firm belief(s).

     I admit that I have that condition, it hurts no one - including myself. God gave me that condition, and I freely accept it.

     The people who have a problem are those who do not believe in any of the above and work in thier efforts to defy and deny all of the above.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is a rather large tome and has lots of medical language stuff.  I had a copy at one time (don't ask).  For fun, in the office, we'd flip open to a random page and read an entry.   No matter what affliction we would read,we could find someone in the office with the symptoms.

I think dipisc is right.  APA folks have been reading their own manual so much they've come down with some of the disorders.

Why else would they want to spend their entire working life around crazy people ?
