Castro Endorses Obama

Cuba's Fidel Castro is weighing in on the campaign:

Quote
…he calls Barack Obama “the most advanced candidate” in the race. (That’s the English translation as provided by Associated Press and Reuters; the Granma English-language site translates his characterization as “this strong candidate.” The article in the original Spanish is here.)

“I feel no resentment towards him, for he is not responsible for the crimes perpetrated against Cuba and humanity,” Castro wrote. “Were I to defend him, I would do his adversaries an enormous favor.”

Cuba's Fidel Castro is weighing in on the campaign:

I thought Fidel Castro was dead. Oh, well...Obama is from Chicago...and the dead do vote there.  >:(

Which candidate do you think terrorists around the world are hoping wins the election?

You are correct.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

Castro's endorsement should help B-HO with the Cuban vote in FL.  Goes with the Che posters they had in an Obama office in Houston.

I posted it on another thread, FOX had an interview in Gaza with some folks in Hamas that have a phone bank set up where they call registered Democrats here in America to promote Barack Hussein Obama.  Granted, B-HO doesn't endorese them, they sure like him.

Gotta wonder ... hmmmm?  What do they see in him that we don't?

Castro also called him the "most progressive candidate" - as you may recall, the progressive movement has essentially been a marxist/socialist movement, which is why it is amazing that both Hillary & Obama actually admit that they are progressive.  :)

According to the National Safety Council, we are more likely to die in a bicycle accident or plane crash than an accidental gun shooting.  We should  ban bicycles & planes before banning guns.

I would say that this is an example of the pot (Castro) calling the kettle (Obama) black, but I don't want to be labeled as a racist!

Well ... it's like saying it's "as clear as night and day" or "it's as clear as black and white".  Not racist just stating the obvious differences.

Now, if someone ran a campaign against Obama and said their differences are as clear as black and white ... that would be funny.

I feel like it is important for Castro to favor Obama.  An admiration would provide a great rapport that may lead to talks.  Obama has agreed to talks with Cuba, while adding "only when we have an opportunity to advance the interests of the United States and to advance the cause of freedom for the Cuban people."  It is clear from the supplied article that the current administration is content to stand by and ignore our neighbor.
