insurance question.
« on: November 26, 2013, 09:33:31 PM »
lets just say you have a great home owners policy, that gives you replacment value for all of your firearms.    what happens if you live in a state where you can no longer replace those firearms or where they can not be imported anymore so they command $$$  in that state?    we all know you are SOL, but what if you were not?

Replacement value is replacement value.  Even if you can't have the firearms where you live they still must pay to purchase them.  If you choose to not replace your policy will tell how they will determine a value and pay out.  Most policies have a declared value that sets the premiums, and that is what you would get as long as it is within reason.

In your place I would have to ask myself how likely am I to have my property stolen and what is the cost to insure it? Do you buy extended insurance on tools, electronics and vehicles?

Research the really high end gun safes against break in, you tube has eye opening videos about it. That may be a better value then a policy and keeping your property is probably better then even a check for the full value.
