Unfortunately the "average voter", being what he is, believes a lying liberal when that liberal calls himself a conservative.  The slow desensitization of values and loss of higher education to liberals (dumbing down) has produced an "average voter" that cannot easily know the difference between a lying liberal and a truthful conservative.  That is to say...."average voter = sheeple".

The slow pull to the left that has apparently continued after Clinton appears as though it may be producing a populace that is not readily able to save itself from a Marxist-socialists dead-end.

The reality of the situation is that "we" gun owning, thinking, constitutional Americans have a choice between being quislings or being killed.
The only thing we gain with McCain is time to buy ammo and find a place to hole up for our individual last stands. After the Dumbing down of America's education system, and years of political correctness there is no hope for the American people. We started with "Hate Crimes", then "Hate speech", soon we will be seeing people arrested for "Hate thought". They may call it "Anti social tendencies" or some such, but it amounts to the same thing. And the "average American voter" is to stupid, lazy and comfortable to realize it, or get of their a$$es and DO anything about it. For proof I present exhibit #1 Hillery Clinton, with all the baggage she took out of the White house, indictments of staff (Like Sandy Berger) theft of $200000 worth of stuff from the White house, questions about Vince Fosters murder, She remains a viable Presidential candidate despite the out right lies she has told in this campaign.
Exhibit#2 Barack Hussein Obama, A 1st term senator from a notoriously corrupt party machine, will probably be the democratic nominee, unless he gets "Fostered" in June as Hilly has suggested/threatened despite the anti American propaganda spouted by everyone who gets near him.
Exhibit #3 John McCain, nothing but a boot licking RINO who was facing recall in his home state due to his sucking up to Kennedy and the Dem's, After several attempts where he achieved nothing but "Also ran" status, He has pretty much tied up the Republican nomination  for the simple reason that the Good candidates did not promise "bread and circuses" to the ignorant masses. Well, Their ignorance will get "fixed" to late.
