Another Fast & Furious?

Here We Go Again: A recent collaborative study carried out by the government of El Salvador and the ATF found that over 60% of all legal [sic] weapons in the Central American country can be traced back to the United States... The study, ongoing since 2011, has tracked just under 39,000 of the estimated 200,000 weapons circulating throughout the nation. To identify which weapons were counted, authorities said the only prerequisite was that the weapon was legally [sic] brought into the country, but were quick to point out that once the weapons are in El Salvador, they can illegally change hands... According to Harry Peñate, the head of the ATF’s Central America division, most of the weapons are purchased legally [sic] by a buyer in the United States and the weapons are then hidden among other major shipments like auto parts, refrigerators, and other appliances and shipped to El Salvador. Once there, they are picked up and sometimes kept by individuals while most are sold on to criminal organizations... The ATF has said it has introduced, and will continue to do so, different screening programs in El Salvador and elsewhere in Central America that will enable agents to trace where the weapons were purchased in the US and to trace the buyers themselves.

“As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people.  On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and a complete narcissistic moron.”  H.L. Mencken, The Baltimore Evening Sun,  July 26, 1920.

The dumbasses might start with Ollie North .
Are the people at ATF so young, or stupid, that they forget the US Govt spent about 10 years shipping guns to the Salvadoran Govt ?
