Used gun safe prices...
« on: June 01, 2008, 09:59:58 PM »
So my new safe will be coming on thurs,  Since I won't be a 4 safe house hold...  I was wondering whats a good starting point for a used safe.

50%, 75%, 25%.???    I honestly don't have any idea.

The one I will have for sale is  a liberty  "franklin"  30x61x25   if that makes a diffrence.  About 1500 new.

According to their website a new "franklin" of that size sells from between $1600-$1800.  Sounds to me like $1500 is a good deal.

You don't happen to be close to TX do you?

I'm  just wondering whats a good starting price to put this on craigslist... since I will not ship it(unless some one throws lot so of cash my way or a  gun on my wish list...)... the most I will do unbolt it from the slab and point.

I would never put an ad in the paper... Craigslist is just as good( if not better)  its free and the only contact info I have to leave is my email.

Just watched that show "It Takes a Thief" on cable, where they hire former thieves to break in your house and take your stuff under the video camera while the owners watch,..

In 8 minutes 24 seconds, 1 guy took jewelry, GUNS, sports equip, etc,... burned a disc of personal data, and left with a F150 FULL of stuff...

I need a safe bad!!! There goes my "stimulus" check but Dam*. I hate a thief.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
