What magazines (reading) do you recommend?
« on: January 18, 2014, 12:41:54 PM »
I currently subscribe to Gun Tests, and have tried a couple of other titles. What magazines do you recommend? I am most interested in equipment reviews, and defensive tactics.

I enjoy "Combat Handguns"!  Lots of good info.  Pick up a copy locally and check it out.  I also have been a loooooong time reader of "American Handgunner" and "Handguns".

Hope this helps.

Concealed Carry and American Rifleman in that order are my two in this area.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

I've always liked "Shooting Times".
American Rifleman always has a few articles I read and a few I ignore .
Another that looks good, although I've only seen a couple issues, is "Recoil".

You can also read AH online for free:

You can say lots of bad things about pedophiles; but at least they drive slowly past schools.

Gotta echo some of the previous posts...Combat Handguns/AmericanHandgunner/Guns/ConcealedCarry/America's 1st Freedom/Shooting Illustrated...also enjoy the Recoil mag since Ian Harrison took over as well as some of the special editions mags like Home Defense / Handguns / etc.

I am trying real hard to recomend anything on any subject. Maybe fine wood working for just the tip section and project ideasx the reviews are not great, even when its a pos they still rate it as ok.  Still its nice to walk the few hundred yards there and read for a bit.  My 4g is teice as fast as their wifi.
