As always, an entertaining and highly informative TBD about safety at home.  I could not help but notice the garage had two gun safes and countless 50 Cal ammo cans and ammunition boxes on the shelves.  I would find myself in that garage quite often, too, but would keep that door shut so nobody knew about all the cool toys and supplies I had inside.
Anyway, the several scenarios and learning points from the episode did a great job of helping me envision different situations and how I would react to them.  TBD has changed my thinking from how I would react to a situation (which I still do) but to proactively think about situations I am about to enter and what I may see and how I can work within that environment.

I am a fan of rattan canes. They are inexpensive and offer a nice balance of striking mass and light weight. There are much heavier canes out there that will really put a hurtin' on someone--like the Ka-Bar/TDI aluminum cane--but you need the strength to wield them with adequate speed.

Canemasters (www.canemasters.com) makes some excellent canes and is a go-to source for many folks. Cold Steel also makes some nice ones, which can be purchased at good prices from www.cutleryshoppe.com.
