I'm Tryin to Watch, In MN,.. Having trouble,......
« on: June 03, 2008, 09:40:21 PM »
So, I watching Barack make his "victory nomination" speech and I am trying to keep my adult beverage(s) (yes I needed more than 1 tonight,... ) down. :P

This is just downright scary. When did Americans become so blind to what the future will hold for them? Did a genetic misfire put lemmings into the DNA of Americans. These people are going off the cliff and are cheering about it.

Most liberal Senator? That's him.
Will raise all our taxes? Ditto,...
Socialize medicine? Hello.
Restrict firearms by type, capacity, price, color, style? You bet!
Retreat from Iraq? WTF? (Sorry Marshal'ette), I'm trying to hold back. :-X

If I hear "From the South side of Chicago,...." 1 more time,.... >:( >:( >:(

I'm afraid for this countries future and this speech is the most scripted bunch of BS I've heard from another politician.

This "Pie in the sky" that people are cheering about is thick. ( I need my waders! )

I'm going to pray more starting tonight, God help us.

Thank you again for an outlet to rant, (range closes at 7 pm.) :-[

"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government."
George Washington
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

I feel your pain.   :P

I tried watching him and after his wife gave him a "knuckle" I had to turn the channel or toss my cookies.

The Romans found out that when the masses find they can vote themselves "bread and circuses" that is what they will do.Thats why America was NEVER intended to be a democracy, but a constitutional republic, not everyones vote should count equally, you and I work and pay taxes so we get a vote while some welfare recipient (Legitamate or not) who does not contribute to society gets none, You and some others on here seem fairly affluent while I'm a lowly machine operator, your higher tax burden, education, and level of responsibility in the community should give  YOUR vote somewhat more weight than mine. Originaly the vote was reserved for property owners, (I rent) and I beleive there was a value requirement as well, of course that was in the days when the Govt. only spent what they could earn off tariffs on foriegn imports.

Tom, it goes back to original intent and the missing three words, "in this room".

Applied at appropriate locations in the Constitution, they would have preserved the Republic.

They never imagined that "All men are created equal" would eventually include ALL of humanity.

Superdelegates, for example, is a holdover acknowledgment that some need be more equal than others to maintain quality controls. Sadly, there are no longer any quality controls on the superdelegates.

Any quivering lump of flesh that manages to keep a pulse for 18 years gets an equal vote, even if it isn't potty trained yet. That is a recipe for sociatal suicide.

Ron, as a long silent forum member wrote about a year ago, this country isn't the country you THINK it is. These are perilous times. Too much so to sit this one out. Robin Hood might have been great on TV, but not when he's robbin' me!! >:(
