A Tough Decision - Please Help!
« on: June 05, 2008, 05:48:28 PM »
I got an unexpected bonus check from my employer today.  Here's my dilemma......I figure I have two options:

Option "A" would be to do the responsible thing (tell my wife about the bonus check then deposit it into the savings account), or..........

Do I select Option "B"...........the option where I forget to mention the check to the wife and let that sweet little S&W M&P .45 that I've been drooling over for the past couple of months follow me home?  What do you think?!?

Is option "B" a non-stop, do not pass go...do not collect $200, straightline ticket to Hell?

Wait.....how about Option "C":  "Honey, look what I bought for YOU!!"   lol

It's too late!  You have to go with option A because you are already feeling guilty!!!!!!!  Work some overtime and then buy the M&P and that should make you happy.

Good thought, except I'm in management, ie:  on salary......no such thing as overtime.

Besides, forgiveness is easier to obtain than permission!!   LOL

Y'all are gonna hate me for this. >:(

Buy the gun, then take it home and show your wife after taking 250.00 more dollars out of the savings account and tell her you could not pass up a deal like this, an M&P for 250.00. Now you have the money for extra clips, ammo and maybe a holster. ;)

Hope the girls are'nt lurking. :-X

Didn't even have the chance to hide mine.  The company gave me a $1000 bonus that the government guy told them to give me and the wife had it figured out before the check cleared.  Of course the per diem that came the following week was mine for ammo and a new safe.

Your wife is your partner.  How would you feel if you found out she did something like this?

Tell her about the check AND what you would like to do with it.  Honesty is the bedrock of a relationship.

Yeah, I know....borrrrriiiiing but I don't want to steer ya wrong.
