Forecast missed the amount of "Global Warming" we were supposed to get Wednesday by about 3"!  It warmed up enough to melt off some of that and more to go today.  Still well below normal temps.  I did realize one thing though.....there are no flowers poking up thru the ground!  Usually we see flowers starting to come up and even bloom the third week of March!  Damn Groundhog!

We woke up to snow again this morning. About 2 inches at my house, less in town. But it snowed another hour after I got to work this morning. So who knows how much we actually got. Last I heard our snowpacks are an average of 140% of normal. Which is good since we are in a drought. Fortunately I think we are done with the bitter cold. I just hope that we can get some consistent rain this summer.

It's snowing today but melting when it hits because it's just above freezing. I'm hoping it gets a little warmer to melt the chunk of ice in my driveway. I've been chopping it up so it melts faster but we're still having below normal temps. It goes up and down like a yo-yo. More snow and rain in the forecast but it's really anybody's guess.

I remember many years when the low was colder, 10 below for a month, things like that.
But all those years were broken up with days that got into the 40's and 50's, even in January.
Not this year, just between 0-35 degrees for 4 months .

A bit ago, I heard a GW proponent answering a question about how true could GW be when we were having such wide spread cold weather.

The answer was something like....   These excessive cold blasts fit in the GW prediction, but they will be happening less and less as GW takes over.

My first thought was....  You are trying to convince folks this is a Bad Thing?

In the past 10-15 years we have had a day or two or more in Jan., Feb., and or March in the 60's!  Good golfing weather fer sure but not this year.  There were weeks that if you added the high temp for all 7 days you wouldn't total 40 let alone 60!  Getting too old for this and can't afford to move to warmer climes.
