Storm Lake Barrel for Glock
« on: June 06, 2008, 09:05:06 PM »
I have a birthday coming up and I have talked my wife into a new barrel for my Glock 20. I reload and the stock barrel scares me. I have had new Hornady ammo swell to almost bursting at the unsupported part of the chamber. Anyway I think I am going to get the Storm Lake barrel from TopGlock. The price is right so I was wondering does anyone have any experience with the Storm Lake barrels.

I've gotten one for my XD-9 5", and it reduced the size of my groups by 50%.  No problems, and it was a drop-in fit; I didn't have to do any filing.

They are good. I have seen a few and usually groupings do get smaller than the stock barrel. And it will be safer with the extra chamber support. Lone wolf, barsto, and kkm are some other good ones too. Whichever you get make sure to clean the barrel really good. That, along with the replacement barrel, will help prevent case-bulging in Glocks in regards to the .40's and 10mm's. And then you shouldn't have any problems. Rock on!  :)
