Become a DRTV guest blogger!
« on: February 10, 2014, 08:22:44 PM »

Hey folks!

We have very knowledgeable, experienced and opinionated members of our forum. Many has contributed to our forum with content that is of great value for the firearms communities.

Michael and I have discussed if we should open up for guest blogging on our main section which also means mirrored content on OutdoorChannel.com. This also means a lot more attention to the content in terms of search engines, social media, etc..

And we have agreed to do this. In fact, we consider it way over due.

We invite all of you to send us your reviews, op-eds or whatever you want to call it. Our main publishing deadline is every Friday for our upcoming week's features.

If you have any questions about this, send me a PM.

Good article, Alf!

I think we forget just how much aesthetics factor into a gun purchase, especially for a gun like the R51 that is designed to appeal to new shooters.

But heck, what do I know, I'm on-record as saying that the Whitney Wolverine should be framed and hung on the wall as a piece of art. ;D
I can't understand people who think banning guns makes them safer. They must also believe that banning books makes them smarter.

Just a little more info on guest blogging:

Submissions should be sent to marshal@downrangemedia.com .

We have a limit of word count of 2000, but the average article is around 750 - 1000 words. Longer articles can also be submitted as Part 1, part 2 and soforth.

No lower limit on word counts.... sometimes a story (review, op-ed, event report, etc...) can be told with less words.

Every article should have at least one picture. If you don't have any at all, we'll provide one from our archive.

Articles/blogs can be delivered in an email body or as a word document. Pictures should be attached in their original size (we do the cropping and downsizing).

Topics that can be covered are: Product Reviews, Event Reports, The Second Amendment, Reloading, Training, etc...

All posts will have a bio of the author, so please provide up to 150 words bio with a "mugshot".

All pictures should be submitted in its original size.

Down the road, we might also consider asking some selected "in house bloggers" to do product reviews for us when workloads peak.
