Remington leaving New York for Alabama

On the one hand, good for them for realizing that guns and gun owners aren't wanted in New York, on the other hand, it's a shame to see such polarization happen in the UNITED States of America...

I can't understand people who think banning guns makes them safer. They must also believe that banning books makes them smarter.

You can say lots of bad things about pedophiles; but at least they drive slowly past schools.

Glad that companies like Remington and Magpul are willing to move operations to more hospitable environments. I just pity the workers who lose their jobs!

I'm vindicated about Remington being a good sport.

Are they actually LEAVING NY or just opening another plant in Alabama?

The story, as I heard it, is that Remington is going to open a new plant in Huntsville, AL that will employ 2000 - 2500 people, and reduce the workforce in Ilia, NY, but not close the plant.

We Alabamians welcome Remington!  Bring it on!

Correct. Remington isn't leaving New York.

"The military publication reported there are no plans to move manufacturing from Ilion’s 1 million-square-foot site, where Remington has been building firearms for nearly 200 years."
