Why do people say stuff they don't mean?

This is one of my biggest pet peeves.  If you are willing to say something, you should mean it.   Also all actions have reactions.   Just my rant for the day.

That being the case, the answer to your question is pretty simple.
They intended to shaft you and thought you'd be foolish enough to believe them.

     Tab,   do you mean that they start to say things like " the full weight of the Township", " there is "no weight to mr XX comments"    only to start to make you look like a nut ?

      In order to have people free..... the system     MUST   fail and collapse. Not that I want to be overrun, but a good revolution has to happen to keep    assholes  in thier place.

  not in this case actually, very little shafting involved. They did day they were going to call the cops, I told them would you like me to call them? One of those things where they don't have a leg to stand on and they will be the ones arrested.  Moral of the story is " lose your head, your ass is soon to follow"
