2008 USPSA Single Stack Nationals Posercam Vids are up

Hi all,

Every year on the last weekend in April in Barry, IL they hold the Single Stack Classic (or Nationals). It is an all 1911 match.  Since it is close to me, I went to it this year. I was a Range Officer too, which is like being a ref. So we all got to shoot on Thursday in the rain and the mud.

Hey, that's my excuse for shooting so poorly and I'm sticking to it.   

There were 275 competitors at this match and I placed in the bottom 100. Arggh...

This was my first time shooting this match.

Anywhooo... I have kinda sworn off shooting major matches untill my skills are better and/or more consistent.

Most of the guns there were in .45 ACP. A handful were in .40 and then another smaller handful were in 9mm or .38 Super. The 9's and the Super's got to start out with 10+1 in the gun. That would have been a real advantage on the one all steel stage. Otherwise, I think it would have been a disadvantage on all the other stages with paper targets (major Power Factor scoring vs. minor Power Factor scoring).
