Life is a rerun.

Makes one think ... Take a Dem Congress and President  ... add a few Republicans (like from this bill!) and you will be limited on what you can own ... again.

Springfield Armory M1A's fit the description but are not on the ban list.  Wonder if that was because the Kirk shit for brains who sponsored this is from IL?

Ron,

I didn't see a list.  Appendix A is weapons NOT affected by this ban.

Quote
`(3) Paragraph (1) shall not apply to--

`(A) any of the firearms, or replicas or duplicates of the firearms, specified in appendix A to this section, as such firearms were manufactured on October 1, 1993;
All tipoes and misspelings are copi-righted.  Pleeze do not reuse without ritten persimmons  :D

Not one "D" on the list.  The Messiah's' campaign will have a field day with this.  "WE don't want to ban your guns.  It's those nasty Republicans."

I wonder what would happen if all the gun and ammo manufactures got together and said that they would refuse to sell wepons and ammo to military and law enforcement if a bill like this passed. Since the bill would make it only legal to sell the "assalt" wepons to military and law enforcement?

Maybe they could go over seas for some guns, but I don't think that every cop in the country would be willing to use Wolf ammo while on duty. Plus the military has to have access to domestic guns and ammo for obvious security reasons.

The industry stepped up in Conneticut I think it was, when they talked about bullet stamping, why not step up about this too?

Well, the vast majority of the revenue for most gun manufacturers comes from military contracts.... Its that old 80/20 rule of business. If they make their biggest customers mad, they might just be out of business all together - plus they would have to have absolute 100% support of that approach from everyone in the firearms industry to make it work.
