This is completely un-gun-related, but did you ever hear something in a commercial that made you stop, look at the the TV, cock your head to one side and say "Whaaaaaaaaaat?"

Examples that I've heard recently:

• A commercial for a sleeping pill that contains the warning "Side effects may include drowsiness..."
• An ad for a titanium razor that stays sharp forever.  It was touted as "The last razor you'll ever need.  And if you act now, we'll send you 2!"

Anyone else?

There was something on TV awhile ago about young men needing Viagara because young women today are so demanding the men have something called "fear of failure".
The doctor was very sympathetic, the guy on with her said something like "Okay guys, you've got to man-up, go get a chainsaw and cut some firewood"
I cut a lot of firewood and all I get is sore, but then I'm old.

Side effects include headache, loss of bowel control, brain bleed, heart palpitations, oh and itchy watery eyes,....Than they'll sell 900 million dollars worth.

Some time back I was prescribed Vioxx for a back injury, than they stopped selling it, lawsuits went into the Billions, and people actually died. But for me, at the time, it did work. Glad I kinda didn't die, that side effect is a wee bit too harsh.

Vioxx was the most effective NSAID I ever took. And yeah, sadly, people had heart attacks and some died. But damn, it worked as a pain reliever and anti-inflammatory.
