FULL SIZE Friday

So in an effort to give ALL of my carry guns some attention I started FULL SIZE Fridays a couple of months ago.  This stemmed from carrying my XDS on a daily basis leaving my XDM sitting in the safe too often (in my mind).   The XDM was my only carry for a couple of years until my wife and daughters bought me the XDS for Father's Day last year.  I have carried it on the weekend but found myself carrying it less and less because of the comfort/weight of the XDS.  It may not sound that big of a deal but I do give up about 16 rounds with a spare magazine I always carry.

Great idea.   I'll have carry the M&P on Fridays.  Or maybe the 686.  Or really go big and carry the SW 625.  .45ACP in a revolver baby.

90% of the time I carry a compact 1911 on the hip. I usually where a vest or jacket of some sort, so it conceals nicely. It rides tight to my hip in a Bianchi pancake holster.

However, when adventuring, I usually switch to my trusty Sig 229 in a shoulder rig. I generally carry this open, since we are not in populated areas,  and having the shoulder rig helps keep it better protected.

This is something I am going to look into.  Still kind of new to CC so still trying to figure out what works best for me. My full size px4 is definitely my favorite and best shooting handgun.
