It is here! M1 Garand from the CMP
« on: June 26, 2008, 04:28:39 PM »
Well, it finally arrived.  Been waiting about 6 weeks.  The stock leaves much to be desired, but the bore is pretty dang good from what I can tell.  Post war Springfield Armory.

They made me sign for mine, and since I have that pesky job, UPS made sure to leave those notes on the door until I picked it up across town. :P

Nice M1.  Stocks can always be refinished, Congratulations.

Love the last round going "ping" with the clip shooting out.  Timeless, reliable. American Made.  Watch that thumb, I still have a scar.

Thanks for the pics.

When I got mine I was still competing in Hi-Power.  With 168 Hornady match and IMR4895 it would stay in the bull at 600 yds. all day long if I did my part!  Enjoy

Richard

PS:  Mine cost me $112.50
