Well, we really did try to hit the jugs at 100 yards.  Bad thing, when they are filming this crap, they want you to do it on cue.  So you are standing there aiming the gun, and you are not supposed to shoot till they give you the go ahead.  Not the easiest thing to do, I assure you.  So we tried it at 100, nobody could hit it, and we moved up to 25 for the actual shot where we hit them.  Now, I aint bragging, but I have hit jugs at 100 yards before with my S and W 629 (the gun I was using) before, so I know I can do it, but doing it with the camera rolling and them wanting you to wait till they tell you is a PITA!

Try hitting a popper at 60 yards with .40 S&W, on par time, at the beep of the timer, knowing that after those four hits if you make them, you have a 30 yard run with an ammo can in hand, followed by three plate racks, and knowing all you need to do is hit the four poppers and one plate and you will tie Julie G.

Oh yea, and Julie, Phil Strader, Yamil and his ever present camera, and Rob Leatham are all observing.  Yamil is trying to find wide angle, Phil is trying to figure out who this clown is, and Julie and Rob are critiquing their student.  And some where lurking around the corner is Rastus and Jessie Duff (Abatte at that time) along with several other top shots.

I don't know about you gunman, but for me that type of pressure just brings out the little boy with nothing to lose.

Hope you enjoy it and continue having fun with it!

That was my excuse, too.    ;)

I have no idea what they film it with.  Beyond my pay grade!

Probably a good question for Mr. Bane. He's been around enough gun related filming, and has had several programs under his belt to know.

I have tried watching it. Always forget when it is on. Not set up on DVR like the other Outdoor Channel shows.
