Apparently getting fit and healthy is not good for you.
« on: June 10, 2014, 10:17:39 PM »
I did this about 7 weeks ago  ( back been off work since easter  back to work Monday though )

and yes my daughter had a broken wrist as well  hehe  we were a great team ;)

was a great ride though,I took this pic after my stack  on my ride out of the park,  as I had a 17km ( 10m )  ride after it to get to where we were having dinner,   drove my self to the hospital  around midnight when we after we got home as my leg was still bleeding a bit and I did not have anything at home to clean it properly

got rushed though in front of a few people as well when I told them that my helmet had been cracked in a few places as well they checked me over  cleaned me up then I found I had a broken wrist and damage to shoulder.
and a massive dent in my pride ;)

all good  could of been a LOT worse.

was on a trail ride   training for  a 12 hour enduro mtb race ( my first one )  was my birthday   we were having dinner out at a friends place about 15k from a MTB / walking trail park    I got my mrs to drop me off while she went off and did a few things  and said I would ride about for a bit and catch up,

I did 1 loop no issues  and on a trail i knew as i had done it once before with a few mates,  then though i would have enough time before it got dark to do one more,   chose a different one..  that was my first fail   turned out to be a down hill run not cross country  part way down  I was to far left and could not avoid a jump  and had slowed down a bit bit too much to not land the bike well and ended up over the handle bars  I went to roll out of it  as i ate the dirt,

ended up breaking my scaphoid and spraining my wrist  also few good grazes  that needed a good clean in hospital  also damaged tendons and muscles in my shoulder

but still got back on the bike and rode out and made it in time  ( I had it all logged on the gps as well  Garmins are worth it)

I think you must be doing something right, Phil...I know....hard for me to believe too   ;) ;)

But it looks like your daughter adores you.

Take care  :D

Looking good Phil. I'm glad you and your daughter are on the mend but I have to ask, what's up with the Lego phone?

Wow.  Glad you are, overall speaking, okay.

Yeah, doing fit and healthy things can be dangerous.  It's why I never sit at the bar on one of those high bar stools.

I had got home around 3am  and my phone was flat from being on the net waisting time at the hospital and wanted to get a pic so I grabbed hers hehe
